Looks like Stanford can start booking their flight to Phoenix.

ASU up 30-7 over UofA and halfway to hosting the Pac-12 Championship game.

FORK 'EM!

If the inferno is this crazy next weekend, Stanford is in big trouble.

Hate to see the lines for the Championship. As the tickets go on sale 15 minutes at the box office, after the game ends(if they win)

Just on my guess-timation, I don't think Alabama losing to Auburn will help Ohio State. Alabama's not falling past #4, and OSU needs them to.

Why? Worst case scenario, Ohio State stays right where they are. What the hell does Alabama have to do with that? They aren't going stay ahead of FSU, OSU and Auburn after losing to Auburn. My guess is 'Bama drops to 5 behind FSU, OSU, Auburn, and Missouri. Maybe even 6th behind Oklahoma State. So explain to me how Ohio State needs Alabama to drop past 4. How does that benefit the Buckeyes?

Look, I know everyone desperately wants Auburn to move past Ohio State in the rankings, but as McCarthy said, unless the BCS plans on setting a precedent and doing something they aren't known to do, it ain't gonna happen. If, and it's a big if, Ohio State gets past MSU next week, they're going to the NCG - whether we like it or not. And they will have earned that shot - whether we like it or not. This much I do know, there is simply no way Alabama will "back door" their way to the NCG. It would take both Missouri and Auburn losing next week (which obviously can't happen), FSU losing to Duke, and Ohio State losing to Michigan State. Even if OSU and FSU both lose, I still don't see Alabama getting back into the picture.

I know this is heresy, but this just might be the year that the mighty SEC is watching the NCG from home.

Gary Pinkel would get my vote for coach of the year. Out :censored: ing standing. Took a 5-7 team that turned into an SEC laughingstock, and someone who everyone thought would be in the cellar with Kentucky and Tennessee. Instead, took them to 11-1 an SEC East title, while losing a starting QB midway through their toughest stretch of the season. Also, that 11-1 could very easily be 12-0 and in the midst of the national championship race. Of course Cutcliffe will probably get it, but my vote should got to Pinkel. Hell of a coup by him, and good for Missouri.

Malzahn (sp?)

I thought Pinkel was better, 3 of Auburn's wins can be blamed on A) Manizel's shoulder popping out. B) Georgia defender dropping a pass C) A whole bunch of stuff, specifically Marshall's last TD was thrown in front of the line of scrimmage.

I'm kinda liking the fact that MSU has very good odds, win or lose next week, to return to the Rose Bowl for the first time since I've been on this earth. Never would've thought this team ha an 11-1 season in them one year removed from Le'Veon (though I thought the same thing post-Javon Ringer). Goes to show you, the right QB makes all the difference. Thank god for Connor Cook.

Looking forward to the B1G Championship, should be a hell of a game.

Wouldn't the mizzou win over manziel be damaged since he has been ill the last two weeks?

Heck, Urban took a 6-6 team to 24 consecutive wins or you could give it too the Jerry Kill assistant whole held that team up like Bruce Ariens did either the Colts last year.

I saw the final play of the Iron Bowl on TV and all I could do is stand there with my jaw dropped. It was one of those unreal moments that make you want to say 'Did that really happen?'

In my mind, Saban made a huge mistake kicking it at the end. At least with a hail mary, there's the chance of either seeing the ball get knocked down or someone making the catch and the game winning score. Plus, Bama was 0-4 on field goal attempts in that game AND used a kicker who only had 2 attempts in his career. It's a recipe for disaster and it ended up being a fatal mistake.

But, more importantly... Auburn may have screwed the SEC out of the title picture. Auburn will be 3rd when the BCS rankings come out tomorrow night behind Ohio State and Florida State. Now, the Seminoles shouldn't have any issues with Duke (but this isn't your father's Blue Devils, so be careful) and Ohio State is going to have to slug it out with Sparty. One of those teams lose and Auburn, with a win over Mizzou in the SEC championship game, gets in. Both losing may end up with absolute chaos.

So, in short: You want to see the SEC's streak end? Root for Ohio State, Florida State and Missouri to win next weekend.

I know this is heresy, but this just might be the year that the mighty SEC is watching the NCG from home.

Let me clarify....

Ohio State needs Alabama to drop past #4 because a higher-ranked Alabama assists Auburn's cause in the Harris and Coaches polls, two-thirds of the BCS formula. Not to mention that Auburn's already going to get a big boost in the computers now that they've played (and beaten) Alabama. Auburn (or should they win, Missouri) will get more of a bump in the computers by playing top-5 Missouri than OSU will by playing #11-ish Michigan State.

Personally, I think it should be Florida State and Ohio State 1-2. I won't have a problem if Auburn jumps OSU simply because they have earned a "We beat #1" boost. Alabama was loved by the computers, and their presence in the top 4 is big for Auburn.

Remember, when it comes to the BCS, you need all the help you can get from the teams on your schedule. You need them to win to enhance the strength of schedule. OSU is going to take a hit with Wisconsin losing.

I think Auburn's going to jump Ohio State in the computers should both win out. Luckily for OSU, all they have to do is convince the humans that a zero in the loss column trumps a 1-loss team with a better schedule strength. OSU should be safe with any type of victory. What they don't need is Auburn blowing out Missouri and giving the pollsters a reason to think Auburn's #2.

Florida State shouldn't overlook Duke either. They can't make the mistake Tech did, people are more caught up with the fact of "It's Duke" rather than just realizing they might be really good. Also, they're a much different team from the one that lost to Pitt and Georgia Tech, don't give me that. Trust me, beating VT, Miami, and UNC wouldn't happen if they were a "fluke".

Actually all three teams are utterly clownfraud mediocrities, but Duke's still having a good season.

That was a hell of a game. I'm so glad I was watching that live.

Auburn has a loss and they should have three losses. You can't put a team with a loss ahead of an undefeated team from an AQ conference. That's how it's always been in the BCS and you can't change it in the final week.

I don't anticipate a fun day in Indianapolis for Ohio State next Saturday, though.

Assuming said team is not from the Big East.

Territorial Cup Massacre. Jeez, 58-21 to the Sun Devils.

There are going to be a number of fun games next week. Okie-Okie St., SEC-CG, ACC-CG, B1G-CG, and the PAC12-CG, with the Baylor-Texas game becoming, essentially, the Big 12-CG if Oklahoma State falters (I'm not expecting it).

But it's going to have a hard time approaching what we saw today. Some scintillating games.

What a beat down. Better luck never, UofA. The Cup stays in Tempe.

One more matter of business next weekend. And I must say, things are smelling a little rosy ;)

They called it the Big East before your time on this earth. You can't remember it, but Virginia Tech was in it. Also there is no American, only Bill the Cat.

Awesome game, and an amazing season all around. I predicted 8-4, and the Devils ended up 10-2 and will host the PAC 12 Championship game next Saturday. If you would've told me that at the beginning of the season I probably would've laughed you off and commended your optimistic spirit. I gotta say I'm pretty proud to be a Sun Devil this year. The student section was completely nuts from the first drive and they never quit. It definitely got into Arizona's heads a bit and they made some crucial mistakes because of it.

But of course the institution of Arizona State had to once again prove that they are the dumbest run college in the country less than 15 minutes after the game. They decided that it would be a smart decision to sell the student tickets as soon as the game was over at the one small window inside of the basketball arena instead of at the windows outside of the stadium. As soon as the game ended, you had 20,000 drunk and amped up students rushing the doors at the arena. Any idiot could see how that's a terrible decision unless you want to start a full out riot, and that's just about what happened. Windows were broken, police officers (who didn't arrive until long after people started cramming into the arena) were assaulted, a few kids were tazed, and of not for the quick thinking of a ticket agent, the whole crowd would've been pepper sprayed inside of the building.
