Still working on the third for Utah. But here's the next club.

Sin City RFC from Las Vegas. This was another suggestion made by someone, as was the colour scheme of red and black. I added gold as well.

The crest uses the shape of the Fabulous Las Vegas sign with a script font for Sin City. I put RFC in a spade shape (I can see the team being nicknamed the Aces or something similar). I also liked the suggestion of a casino as kit sponsor, so MGM Grand it is. I just mirrored the red and black for the home and alt kits. Hope you like it.

Yay, you picked my name idea! As for the concept, the red/black looks great but the gold really makes the concept. Definitely screams "Las Vegas" and any Vegas sports team would surely make that a priority. The logo is ingenious as well, nice job.

Thanks for the input guys. I do agree that Sin City sounds a bit more amateur 'beer league' than pro sports team (as well as likely not appealing to some religious groups). I'll leave it for now, but I'll consider rebranding in the future.

I've got Minneapolis and NYC about half done. Should have one of them up tomorrow.

I don't know that Sin City is that bad of a name...worst case, they can be Las Vegas RFC (or Las Vegas Aces/Aces RFC).

Also, C&C: the red/black color scheme is perfect -- screams cards/roulette/gambling. The gold accents make the uniform, though. And I LOVE the logo and font.

Two for two!

So if you didn't like the name Sin City RFC, then you may not be a fan of NY's club name either: Gotham RFC.

I recently came across this NYC Transit Authority graphics standards manual, and I decided to use it as inspiration for this brand as I really love the design of NYC's transit signage.

So you'll notice the crest itself is more of a wordmark, aligned much like subway signs are. The three circles are colours straight out of the design manual. I used those colours plus white for the strip across the home kit. I liked it so much I didn't want to cover it with a shirt sponsor, so on the home it is smaller opposite the crest.

I'm not fully satisfied with the alternate kit, so if you have suggestions I'd love to hear them. I realize this entire brand is a bit out there, so if you think I'm way off base for a NYC team, let me know.

I really love your ideas here, and your use of the Subway lettering is terrific. The brand is certainly adventurous, and I like the striping but I would really incorporate more blue. The design really says "New York" so I wouldn't change that but blue and orange are the colors of the city flag and really represent the Big Apple.

Perhaps on the primary kit try the same design using blue on the shirt keeping the black shorts, and use blue shorts instead of green for the clash kit, blue-orange-black seems like it would be a good color scheme.

I really love your thought process here, as a New Yorker myself I think the design is very representative of the city, just a couple color-related suggestions. Hope this helps!

I'm with cohen in terms of putting in more blue. Those alt shorts definitely need to be blue and the idea of a blue shirt isn't bad either. As for the name: love it. I have used Gotham FC in various soccer projects over the years, so I'm more than happy at the idea of Gotham RFC.

Gotham RFC is absolutely INGENIOUS! I love the use of the transit style for the uniform. Blue could definitely be used more in the Alt. Other than that, fantastic look.

Sin City is also very nice. The only thing I would consider changing would be the color of the sponsor name on the home kit. Black would work better, IMO. And I think that in real life, a sponsor would want their name/logo to be easily legible and in high contrast to the rest of the shirt. The gold on the red just blends in too well.

I actually like "Gotham" and have used it myself at times. Rugby has always had some interesting names and nicknames. In fact two teams on Vancouver Island, where I live, have interesting nicknames - Port Alberni Black Sheep and Cowichan Piggies. I love them. But there is a line that shouldn't be crossed in my mind. Sin City crosses it. Gotham is nowhere near crossing that line. And I love how you have incorporated the transit system into the kit. It shows, once again, that a lot of thought has been given to the project.
