You have to flip between two channels. This is impossible?

I'm not so mad at the game being on NHL Network, so much as more mad at the studio people for blatantly not telling SJ/LA viewers that their game was being moved, while NBCSN had to wrap up the overtime session in Boston before transferring games.

During the intermission break in the early game at the "live look-in" of the SJ/LA game, they stated that the late game's markets would stay with that game, while everyone else would go to commercial break, then see the finish in the early game. But that wasn't the case.

Do you have cable, or satellite?

DirecTV, but the only "Kings vs. Sharks" listing was on Channel 220, NBCSN, at 10pm ET/7pm PT. Meanwhile, the only listing on NHL Network was a continuous block of "NHL Tonight."

I'm so pissed right now, I don't even feel like updating the bracket or responding to any of the comments on this board because I WOULD say something I'd regret. My anger management work has just backfired about 80%.

If the Warriors win I might feel better, but I'm take a little bit to cool down. :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered: :angered:

The delay of game penalty for accidentally shooting the puck over the glass has got to stop next year. 90% of the time it's an accident. It's a horrible rule and I'm not really sure what it's trying to prevent.

If a guy shoots the puck overt the glass on purpose, fine, but most of the time the penalty is called it's an accident, and that shouldn't be a penalty.

When did LA become the team that gets all the lucky bounces during the playoffs?

How exactly is a garbage call that gives LA a 5 on 3 VERY LATE, choking? I'm baffled by this.

The trip was pretty obvious, so the Kings were going to have a PP regardless. Pair that with Quick getting pulled at some point*, and the Sharks created their own decent probability of losing the lead, and potentially losing the game, too. No sugarcoating that, Stuart tripped Toffoli in a pretty blatant fashion. The iffy delay of game call just hurt matters even more.

*You know, even though the clock still read 2:45, I'm thinking of pulling Quick right then and there. Eventually, if the power play lasted, you're going to pull him and create the 6-on-4 dynamic. Why not just go for the jugular immediately? It's a bit aggressive, but to me, it's a gamble worth taking.

When did LA become the team that gets all the lucky bounces during the playoffs?

When the hockey gods started to feel sorry for them after losing five straight home playoff games in 2010 and 2011, many of those games being ones where they either led in the 3rd period or had substantial leads at some point during the contest. Take your pick as to whether this was payback for Game 3 in 2011 to San Jose, or Game 6.

I don't know why any Sharks fan even bothers getting this pissed at a playoff loss anymore. It's not like we haven't seen this happen a million times before.

That's what I thought. DirecTV has been horrid with incorrectly selecting regional feeds and seemingly blacking out games at random all season long. It's your provider, not the network.

I'm not necessarily pissed at the loss, I'm pissed at poor delay of game call. BTW, just because we're used it doesn't mean we not still going to get pissed.

It's okay it's only a 2-0 hole. Sharks will bounce back.

I didn't see the play; but if there was a delayed penalty on the Sharks, shouldn't the play have been blown dead the moment the Sharks gained control of the puck? Don't see how they could have gotten a call for shooting the puck over the glass if the play was dead at that point.

Because the penalties came on different sequences.

The Stuart trip on Toffoli came on the prior shift, and the play was blown dead when Pavelski managed to get semi-possession of the puck.

The Vlasic DoG came 20 seconds later, after the power play had begun.

I'm sorry... Exactly how long have you been a Sharks fan?

Shhh. I'm trying to think with optimism. :) But to answer your question: Since 1991.

And this was on the NHL homepage. See if you can find the error.

For God's sake, it's not a garbage call. Puck was hit by Vlasic up and over the glass. It's an automatic penalty. Is a a stupid rule and there should be more discretion on those plays? Yes, but as the rule stands, it's an automatic call. It's not the refs fault.

And still, fact of the matter is, the Sharks let in two goals 22 seconds apart in the final two minutes of a playoff game to lose. Choke.

I don't know, but it's getting quite annoying isn't it?
