Strangest Minor League Caps

Recommended Posts

A friend and I were looking at a bunch of random minor league baseball caps and found a few strange ones. I was wondering if there are any other really strange ones that are either not listed below or that I forgot about. Here are some of the ones that I found...

I believe the Storm were the first to go with something like this, but they have quickly been copied by the Hudson Valley Renegades (with a raccoon eyes/ears) and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (with dog teeth). You guys can check the MiLB section at Lids to see these and many others too. You can also check my Flickr as I have a shoe/jersey/hat addiction (and 9 more hats coming in the mail)

I'll add my neighborhood Triple-A club to the mix, the Hillsboro Hops:

This falls into the old Orioles "hat with logo with hat" category.

I really dig strange MiLB caps. Something about having a cap that nobody knows about or has. I have some of the ones mentioned already. My absolute favorite is the Asheville Tourists home moon cap. I probably have some more oddball ones in my collection you guys can check out. I also have the Reading Fightins' ostrich cap that I haven't taken a photo of yet.

Are they AAA? For some reason I thought they were in a lower class.

Yes, typo on my part. As Brian pointed out, Short-season Single A Northwest League.
