NFL '13 SEASON THREAD

WHAT. A. WIN.

Down 12-0 early. 73-yard bomb and blocked field goal return to take the lead. Battled the whole way through. Luck with long, controlled, surgical drives at the end to take the lead. Defense, and oh my lord Darius Butler, HUGE plays to seal the deal. What a game. What a team. What a win.

Like Greg just said and I was going to say, this wasn't Seattle's road woes. The Seahawks came to play in Indianapolis. That was no slouch effort. The Colts were up to the task, made the plays, and came out with a victory. (And the crowd! What a day by them. Nice and loud. Even screwed with the owners of the "12th man" late in that game. Awesome job.)

Much to my pleasant surprise, this Colts team is truly for real. I wasn't sure if they would be able to live up to the amazing turnaround of last year, especially considering the enormous emotional boost the whole "ChuckStrong" movement provided.. Tougher schedule. I wasn't a huge fan of some of the offseason moves. But damn. This team can play. This team can play hard. This team can play efficient. But most of all, this team can win.

With the shape of the AFC outside of Denver (who visits Indy in two weeks on Sunday night), this Colts team just might be contenders. Onto a house of horrors for the Colts in San Diego on Monday night, let's see if Andrew Luck can't change that. GO COLTS!

Wow. A game where Tom Brady doesn't throw a touchdown pass. It's the end of the NFL!

It sounded like Dan Dierdorf wanted to cry about that at the end of the game

Just my opinion, but in three years, I think we'll be saying things like "remember back when people actually thought that the holy trinity of RGIII, Wilson, and Kaepernick were going to be better than Andrew Luck?"

I love the style of football this Colts team plays. It works in all climates. That's going to be pretty important come playoff time.

Man, Tampa really played SO much better this week than they have all season. They may not have won, but at least they didn't Derp the game away this week!

My hat is off to Rob Ryan. He's done a fantastic job considering the number of injuries the Saints have had on defense. I'll take bend-but-don't-break any day. Looking forward to seeing what they do in New England next week.

File the following under "when it rains it pours" - the Jags' Luke Joeckel broke his ankle and is gone for the season.

@ theadmiral, he got me too.

Dallas is bringing their A-game today! I'm not counting the Broncos out, as they started the same way in their game against the Ravens. However, it looks like we'll actually see "4th Quarter Peyton" today.

I felt that Seattle's 'road woes' was not a major concern because, heading into today's game, the Seahawks have won five of their last six road games (Last year at Chicago, Buffalo and the Wild Card game against Washington, plus Carolina and Houston this season) I thought that if Indy came to play, it was going to be tough for Seattle.

Lo and behold, the Colts brought it and succeeded when it counted. I give my props to the Colts for playing a great game and the fanbase for doing a great impersonation of the 12th man. Thankfully, Seattle won't have to deal with an early kickoff against until November.

As I said before, congrats to the Colts.
