Crabcake
Has there ever been a team do a bigger 180 than 2016-17 Liverpool? Unbeatable in 2016, incapable of winning in 2017. marble21
Are we finally seeing the side effects of Klopp's high intensity style? Players burnt out from all that running? UBI FIDES IBI LUX ET ROBUR

I'm not even sure what's wrong, but whatever it is seems to be deeper than just lack of fitness or burnout (physical or mental).
Jaffa
General consensus in these parts is that Marco Silva's doing a reasonable job.
MJWalker45
Qatar spending $500 million a week for World Cup. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-38905510 So they'll be spending over $200 billion dollars and killing over 5,000 people. Yup! This was the best decision FIFA could have ever made.

Not even Sochi made sense because to impress the whole world, one ought not look the mighty fool in the attempt. I'd like to see a running counter on how much monthly money is demolished post-WC when those stadiums come down. @2001mark
MJWalker45
My guess is that the Qataris wanted to prove they could do it and enough people were bought off to make it happen. When people voting aren't even bothered to check that the temperature in Qatar reaches 140 degrees in summer and is projected to make less money than a tournament in the USA? And CONCACAF voted against it's own country's bid?
HedleyLamarr
Not very often you see Barcelona get pants'ed to the tune of 4-nil in a Champions League match.

I watched pretty much the whole game and pants'Ed is a pretty good description of it. PSG's midfield tore Barca a new one, Verratti, Rabiot, and Matuidi hardly made a bad decision all game. Suarez almost never got a touch. It was dominance.

StaatsBrett
Hey maybe the Qataries might go bankrupt and hopefully most teams won't show up! And we could maybe try to host a tournament in the united states for nations who don't want to participate in the world cup. http://i.imgur.com/4gh4ZhB.png http://i.imgur.com/DmN6VqA.png http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/103365-star-based-championship-signatures-by-request/

wences
Amazing final minutes in the Zenit-Anderlecht match. Zenit lost in Brussels 2-0, they were winning 3-0 but, 2 mins left, Anderlecht scored the definitive 3-1.

This is a squad that won the PL last season and now is in danger of being relegated. I know last season was pretty much the literal definition of lightning in a bottle, but I didn't expect that bottle to be broken that quickly. There was no reason to do this so early - they were doing poorly yes, but he just won you the league. He certainly can save you from relegation. Side note: now we're all seeing how important Kante was to that team last year. Not the same w/o him.
