You can ask, but you'd be a couple days late; didn't the Kings get shellacked their last two games?

The Wings are currently dead last in the East...

Their next five games are...

2/11 @ Columbus

2/12 @ Minnesota

2/15 vs St.Louis

2/18 vs Washington

2/19 @ Pittsburgh

It is quite possible that they are theoretically done by the end of next week and shift to sellers mode before the March 1st trade deadline.

And the Leafs are sitting in a playoff spot!

What a time to be alive!

Mike Ilitch has passed away.

I would've thought it'd happen sooner after what he looked like at the Tigers' 2012 AL Championship trophy presentation. You could tell he wasn't well at all.

So the Caps have been playing very well as of late, they've won like 5/6 in a row and they're scoring a lot. But the warning signs are there.

Their defense has been shaky at times. It's been pretty quiet because their offense has exploded but the Caps pretty routinely either get a shutout or give up 2-4 goals per game. It's just not being noticed right now bc the Caps have won 11 straight at home, scoring 5+ in each of those games. That's simply not sustainable.

This is a team with a lot more flaws than I think has been recognized by the general public, and I think they're going to be laid bare for everyone to see come April.

Don't worry, the media actually likes the Caps, so you guys won't get blasted as much as we were. Come playoffs, a second round between the Jackets and Caps would be quite fun...

That's what- She

Ten goals in two games for the Bruins is essentially unheard of since 2006ish. Hopefully they can continue this against the Canadiens tonight. The firing of Claude Julien has essentially given this team a "fresh feel" and that's exciting.

That or save it for the Blue Jackets' first playoff series win.

Julien replaces Therrien for Montreal. I almost forgot this is his 2nd stint with the Habs now.

I saw this come across my phone and had to double take.  I mean, Montreal is in first place.  This move is just as confusing, if not more confusing as Boston firing Julien.

Therrien's a clown who held his team back, and they've lost 10 of 13. The Habs found someone else who spoke French. End of story.

It kinda sucks that both the Predators and the Hurricanes are on their byes this week.  Not really a fan of either team, but I can at least watch hockey on the local channels a couple few times during the week.

Thankfully, our cable provider just picked up the NHL Network recently.....
