But the warning signs are there. Their defense has been shaky at times. It's been pretty quiet because their offense has exploded but the Caps pretty routinely either get a shutout or give up 2-4 goals per game. It's just not being noticed right now bc the Caps have won 11 straight at home, scoring 5+ in each of those games. That's simply not sustainable. This is a team with a lot more flaws than I think has been recognized by the general public, and I think they're going to be laid bare for everyone to see come April. Hopefully they can continue this against the Canadiens tonight. The firing of Claude Julien has essentially given this team a "fresh feel" and that's exciting. Not really a fan of either team, but I can at least watch hockey on the local channels a couple few times during the week. Thankfully, our cable provider just picked up the NHL Network recently.....
