Embarrassing performance by the Caps tonight.

Florida takes care of business and Washington cant CAPITOLize. Story of the season.

Have fun getting swept in the first round cause you cant win anything outside of the skills competition.

How bloody good is Steven Stamkos. What a treat to watch!

One of the very few redeemable qualities of the 2011-12 Tampa Bay Lightning.

Oh well. I hope this Stamkos is back in the playoffs come 2013. He deserves to be.

EDIT - Oh, and a shootout win for the Panthers at Centre Bell? Jesus. Also shows, once again, how bad the Habs are this year. 29-48 now.

They're 6-10 in the skills competition, so they don't even excel there, either.

Realization: the Panthers and Coyotes are basically the same team! :o

37-24-15, 6-10 shootout, minus loser points and shootouts = 31-29-16

37-27-13, 6-10 shootout, minus loser points and shootouts = 31-30-16

:o

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Blackhawks eked out a point tonight, somehow. Their power play remains a disgrace to the sport, however.

Brian Elliott better get some serious Vezina consideration.

He is #1 in the league in gaa (1.48!)

He is #1 in the league in save % (.943 - Breaking the record Tim Thomas set last year)

He is #1 in the league in shutouts (9)

Playing less than 40 games will hurt his cause though.

Neither team played particularly well... The Devils seem to have cooled a little bit since their post-All Star game hotness...

and Ken Hitchcock made freaking Steve Mason look good. It's almost like his system is designed to prevent goals from being scored or sumpin.

Speaking of Ken Hitchcock, that's so Blue Jacketsy to hire a guy who uses a system illequipped for the post-lockout NHL, and then fire him just as his style of play begins to work again. Fire Howson.

I might be in the minority here, but I would like to see the Vezina awarded to both Brian Elliott and Jaroslav Halak this season.
