mjd77
I kinda liked this one. Too bad it didn't last long. I always wanted to see that worn with the teal pants but it never happened.
Dynasty
I recall them wearing these throwback as part of the NFL's celebration for the 50th anniversary of the AFL. They have obviously worn these before, but they only wore them for one season as throwback uniforms.

I even liked the white/brown pair as well. The best part about those uniforms? We went 2-0 in them beating the Pats at home and San Diego on the road. SUCCESS! BigBubba
Personally, I thought these one-year-wonders 1997 Edmonton Oilers jerseys were fantastic. No idea why they ditched the shouldersBut they're so rare that I couldn't even find a photo of them in action, just the jerseys themselves. It reminds me of when the Blues added red... not a terrible look, but completely unnecessary.I hope you're talking about the shoulders and not the colors. A team called the Oilers should be wearing dark, grimy colors. Personally I'm not a fan of the shoulders. I think the set they wore from 97-98 to 06-07 is perfection. No, they should wear colours that look good. Navy/copper was a solid combo, not because it's reminiscent of oil (it's not), but because it was aesthetically pleasing. If you really want colours related to the name, go with brown/black/silver/charcoal. Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. Graham_Clayton
When Collingwood of the VFL played Swan Districts of the WAFL in the 1982 Escort Cup, both teams wore black and white stripes as their home guernseys. Collingwood lost the coin toss to determine who wore the stripes, and thus played with an alternate guernsey of all-white with a black yoke - the only time that the Magpies wore this guernsey. That game I think went to Overtime and continued the Broncos winning streak at the time which pegged them as a favorite which is funny in retrospect because they didn't even make the Playoffs. And for that reason every Denverite hates Josh McDaniels... What I think is better is the next week they broke out white versions of that uniform against the Chargers Note the yellow pants stripes and the sadness on Philip Rivers face after he gets sacked. johnnysama
Just to let you know this isn't a batting practice jersey, but a regular game style jersey; this was worn by the New York Mets in 1982 only for a handful of games; note the orange-blue-orange sleeve and collar trim and the fact that it's made from double-knit, and not the mesh fabric most BP jerseys of the era were made from. I think that was the first time they ever wore black pants in franchise history.
