Wow talk about an idiot, he was defending him self by swinging at anything insight when they were just standing there. It looked pretty much over when cole was walking back to the mound, Gomez created the whole situation.

Kirk Gibson is making a great case to become the first manager fired this MLB season.

And as bad as the Diamondbacks are. More of the blame goes to Kevin Towers. He has made some of the worst moves I have seen in the offseason and the last 3 years.

Towers will fire Gibby before losing his own job. That's usually how it goes when a team is nose diving like the D-Backs are.

It's amazing just how bad this team is this season. Now don't get me wrong, they weren't very good last year either, but this is just getting embarrassing. How a team can see a season where they blew more late leads due to their awful bullpen and turn around and trade pitchers for more batters is beyond me. The Trumbo trade made almost no sense to me when it happened, but as of now it's looking like an absolute disaster.

And Gary's right. It's not Gibby's fault. It's upper management for digging this team into an even deeper hole. Sure D Backs, go ahead and fire Gibson. Who in their right mind is going to want that job who's any better? Especially considering their "Heir Apparent" is now in DC.

BTW, they put up new signs at Coors Field for their smoking areas. I guess they kinda had to...

Smoke a "doobie" (a term to appease the older folk) at a baseball game? That sounds like a beautiful combination.

I'm thinking It'd be cool to see sports stadiums allow marijuana to be smoked at these venues in smoking areas in Colorado. A stoner at a sports game can be 10x less disruptive than somebody drinking at a game. Plus, vendors would make an absolute fortune.

Pretty sure you can get high at the Oakland Coliseum and no one will care.

Well, it's impossible to get into the upper decks during A's games due to the tarps (Which I still think were put there for that very reason). But ushers are too damn scared to tell the portly group of Mexican guys with 310 tattoos on their necks to stop during Raiders games.

I, ahem, "partook" once while watching Tim Lincecum finish out a complete game shutout vs the A's one time at AT&T Park. It was BY FAR the best game I've ever been to. The guy in front of me was pretty annoyed, but that's because we didn't have the good sense to share.
You should've seen that place during game one of the 2010 World Series. It reminded me of a Grateful Dead concert. You could almost see Josh Hamilton sweating.

I, for one, applaud Raider Nation for keeping a populist spirit alive in an increasingly stodgy league.

Don't the Niners have lots of cholo fans, too, though? Of course, they probably can't afford to get into the new place.

Speaking of that, these two gentlemen in front of me were having a grand time "Partaking" during the last game at Candlestick.

And yeah you're mostly right. But the difference is that NOBODY can afford tickets to Levis Stadium. I think even the mayor of SF said he had to cut back on his season ticket package.

First, holy :censored: Rockies! 5 home runs? That's ridiculous! This is a much more talented team than I gave them credit for.

Second, there's actually a grad student here at Boulder who is in discussions with the Monforts about obtaining a license to sell edibles at Coors field. Smoking is out of the question due to contact highs and whatnot, but this guy says edibles vendors have a fighting shot at appearing at Coors field within the next couple years.

He has a meeting with Kroenke next week for Pepsi and is trying to schedule something with Bowlen as well.

I dont think Kirk Gibson will last to Memorial Day at this rate and that is a shame he is a good manager, but I am sure he will get another shot somewhere.

I actually did that at a Jays game once. My friend and I went up to the top row of the 500 and just blazed. And at the Winter Classic, the guys in front of us were blazing and actually let me have a hit. It was damn great.

Oh that's nothing. Whenever there's a soccer friendly here at the LA Coliseum, the drunks always urinate in the tunnels while the guards (hired just for that game) keep an eye-out for LAPD cops walking by.

Hell, a couple of years ago, some chubby Mexican woman decided to relieve herself behind a Modelo Beer tent, then failed to put her skirt all the way back up. One of the more grosser things I've ever seen at a sporting event.

i can tell you from experience, working security at the Daytona 500 for the past 4 years, you really have no power what so ever other than you can yell at people and go into cool areas and meet the drivers and celebs as a security guard, but if you want to get something done you need to find a Volusia County PD officer which show up about once every hour so you are SOL most of the time. i did get 4 people kicked out last year but that was because of timing more than anything else. and then after you are just trying to leave the race track to avoid the drunk drivers you had to deal with the bast 12+ hours and end up getting pulled over by the same VCPD officers who were suppose to be helping you not believing you were working security for the race (because believe it or not we don't wear the security vest 24/7) and give you a ticket for going 71 in a 65

Perhaps with Detroit if Ausmus doesn't work?

10-7 and in first place in the Central. They are at least trying to figure things out while WINNING with a new Manager. Ausmus will be fine
