Michael Morse is off to a great start, 6 HR, 20 RBI, batting over .300. That signing is looking pretty good so far.

He's picking up Buster Posey, too. Morse may be the worse in the field than Christopher Reeves, but he's EXACTLY what that lineup needed. I like the way this team is playing right now.

Speaking of that, what will the Giants do when Scutaro is ready to come back? Do they stick him on the bench until Hicks leaves, or should they trade him for rotation help?

Personally, I think Hicks is their guy. As much as I appreciate Scutaro for 2012, he really hasn't done much else with the Giants, or anyone else for that matter. I say deal him for some pitching help, but I'm not sure how much demand there is for an old shortstop that can't hit and already has injury troubles.

Interesting that the White Sox can wander in and out of contention with no real long-term plan, while the Theo's vaunted PLAN only yields consistent losing.

The White Sox have a real plan now, and all of their moves the last year have been consistent with that plan. They just didn't make a 200-slide powerpoint for the media hyping up the fact that they have a plan without really saying what the plan is. Maybe Theo is actually one of the underwear gnomes.

Step 1: Make comprehensive organizational plan.

Step 2:...

Step 3: Win World Series.

Last night I was watching the top 100 players in NFL History and Johnny Unitas was presented by Frank Deford and Frank said "Unitas' record of consecutive touchdown passes will never be broken. In fact, I think Joe DiMaggio's hitting streak of 57 games will be broken before Unitas' TD record."

We all know Brees grabbed that record and Peyton is eyeing it. So what's my Point?

Nolan Arenado extended his streak to a major league best 22 games today.

DiMaggio's record is 56 games.

Yeah but in order to break the streak, a player would have to hit in 57 games.

"He could break a record of 57 games!"

"No, it's 56 games!!!!"

"No but he needs 57 to BREAK it! See?"

"Nuh-uh! He said you need 57 to TIE it! Here's the PROOF! Boom! I was right!!"

Jesus Christ.

I'm using my smartphone right now, there is really no problem with him using his smartphone outside of the occasional autocorrect problems, that I have problems on my laptop too.
