Brian in Boston
I saw the document. I saw green pants and navy pants. And the document you saw may well have been renderings of uniform concepts that were under consideration at one time, but never officially adopted. Meaning that the Seahawks wouldn't currently have "green pants and navy pants".

tBBP
I aint near my Mac to conceptualize this right in front of me..but that current Puget Slate (nee Seahawk blue), so I'm trying real hard to see how a silver-dome/Puget Slate/Silver pants look would look for the Sea Hawks. If done right...I think it might actually look rather nice...if left to that. The issue, though, would be the neon green, which I don't think would look all that hot used with silver.I may have to do a quick mock-up of that when I get a chance to see how that might turn out... *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

That green jsersey with the Puget State numbers and sleeves, though--uh, no.Make that a HELL NAW.(Now the jerseys with the white numbers and navy sleeves--those is aiight.) *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

Jezus_Ghoti
Panthers is right, guys. All NFL teams have at least 15 different pants and host their official documents on Photobucket. I have never admitted this because it's such sensitive information, but I feel the right time is now. I was given exclusive access to the Packers' digital style sheets a few years ago. Up until this point, the only people in the world who have known about all the Packers' true pants have been me, Roger Goodell, Mike McCarthy, Ted Thompson and God. The Packers actually have more than just their normal yellow pants. In fact, they have 19 different pants. If you don't believe me, here's the proof. TruColor
FYI the Sehawks do have navy and green pants and green jerseys. They have chose not to use them; same w/ Jags and teal pants and Ravens with both purple pants and black pants with striping.I haven't been paying attention to this thread...you certainly have made a lot of wild claims that are completely untrue. (Arizona has Black pants? Hardly.)I just went to the NFL Consumer Products site, and downloaded the latest Style Guide package for the Seahawks (they still haven't updated the teams for 2008 with the new NFL Equipment patch yet). White and "Seahawks Blue" are the only pants that are listed as official for the Seahawks.
powersurge
brilliant. On a somewhat semi non-related note....You know what the sad thing is?On any given Sunday, in ANY stadium in the NFL, you will still see atleast ONE guy in some kind of Zubaz gear till this day.Fascinating! FiddySicks
Maybe it's because we're so used to seeing the all blue look, but this just looks weird.Uggh. That looks terrible. Why does anybody think this looks worse than Denver, or Chicago, or Minnesota, or Houston, or any of the other teams that wear dark/dark/white. It's actually the most solid look for any football team. Or I should say any professional team. Mono head to toe works great if you're a fair to poor high school team, I guess.Because at least Denver, Minnesota, and Houston tie it all in together with a decent looking pant stripe, and Chicago does it with the socks. That Seahawks look is just terribly forced and uninspiring. No, uninspiring is a bad word, boring is more like it. At least someone in the organization (Holmgren, the players, some equipment manager, whoever) knew it soon after they unveiled it and fixed the problem by going monochrome. And I actually think the road jersey with blue pants looks amazing, but thats because it's tied together by the sleeves. To be perfectly honest with you, I think the majority of teams who wear white pants look like garbage unless the helmet is white as well. I can't understand why people feel a monochrome look is high schoolish. If anything I feel that white pants make a team look high schoolish, almost like they couldn't afford game pants so they just tossed on some practice pants and went to play. But I will admit, this Seahawks look doesn't hit on my biggest pet peeve, which is when all three pieces of equipment are a different color, such is the case here: On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) The_Admiral
The Seahawks need double-outlined numbers with some neon green in there. Dark blue doesn't separate white from slate blue very well. It's like, why even bother. I'd also recommend something other than varsity block. They're from Seattle. Look progressive. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Monochrome is the ultimate high school look. I have only seen a few high school teams in my area wear white pants. My team's colors were blue and yellow. The helmets and pants were yellow home and road. Although we had helmet stripes, the pants were plain. Our rivals wore black pants with either red or white jerseys. In fact, the reason most high schools I know don't wear white pants is because they are so hard to keep clean. Monochrome is very amateurish, but so is not having pants stripes (see Rams gold, Saints, Ravens and Jags black pants).
