  1. In the 1989 James Bond film LICENCE TO KILL, 007's CIA buddy Felix Leiter has several pennants hanging in his home office including the Yankees, Cowboys, Dodgers, Cubs and Reds: Lots of other sports memorabilia and team photos as well but I can't make out who they are.
  2. Will the other two acts in this play include the other professional sports leagues?
  3. The White Sox 1917 cap logo in black and white is a cool look:
  4. Another stab at the Dodgers, this time using the 45th Annual Hollywood Stars Night jerseys as inspiration: LOS ANGELES DODGERS: Essentially those Hollywood Stars jerseys with matching pants, a tweaked cap design and new numbers style (plus the Stance designed socks). Thoughts?
  5. Is it bad that I kind of dig this? I much prefer this kind of weird to something like the "Lexington Bluegrass Ponies" Brandiose-style of weird/bad. I'm curious to see how the uniforms look.
  6. Thought it would be fun to squeeze in one final concept before the year ends. With the Virginia Tech Hokies wearing the Yankees logo on their helmets this past Wednesday, I decided to read up a bit more about the special relationship between the Bronx Bombers and Virginia Tech, so here are the Yankees in VT Hokies colors: YANKEES HOME: YANKEES ROAD: YANKEES HOME ALT: YANKEES ROAD ALT: C&C appreciated and Happy New Year!
  7. If you're going to include the Angels then I'd argue you could add "Padres" to this list since their name is inspired by a religious order and some people might find that "icky." Note: I don't personally feel the Padres should ever change their name nor am I aware of anyone currently demanding they do. But this might be where the road we're heading down leads us in a few decades (if not sooner).
  8. This logo leads me to wonder, how would you guys feel about the Rangers adding some gold trim to their unis? I think it could work for Texas better than it does for the Twins and set them apart from most other RWB teams (assuming the Twins get their act together and eventually ditch the gold themselves).
  9. Gonna be great when Max Scherzer secures the final out of the 2022 World Series while wearing the black alternate and then those jerseys are NEVER going away again.
  10. I took these suggestions into consideration and made some tweaks to my original idea: @DarthBrettI minimized the white trim to just the monogram and numbers. Eliminating it entirely makes the uniform look too drab, in my opinion. The white provides a necessary pop of bright color. @SFGiants58, the piping matches these Brooklyn Dodgers road unis. @lgbaseball8, the front numbers are now level with the "LA." I also added the Nike mark and a flannel texture to the design. I do think it's an improvement on my first idea.
  11. 100%. I’d rather they had brought this back than put the block “Kansas City” script on the new road alt.
  12. It's quite maddening that the Royals are the one MLB team (with the exception of Toronto) who really should commit to a solid powder blue road look more than anyone--certainly more so than teams like the Cardinals and Rangers--and yet they continue to do this half measure thing. Also, unpopular opinion, but I prefer the block wordmark. To me, the only "Kansas City" script that looked any good was their very first one:
  13. How am I just now realizing that the wordmark from Seattle's ' 1977-80 primary logo was never actually used on a Mariners uniform? This is a perfect solution.
  14. The thing is, black, red and sand doesn’t necessarily scream “Southwest” to me. But black, red, sand and turquoise? Now we’re talking.
  15. None of the teams look bad right now, but I think the Mariners, Rockies and Angels are all due for a refresh of some kind.
  16. One thing’s for sure: No team needs TWO navy alternates.
  17. Thanks! Up today are the Brooklyn Dodgers! BROOKLYN DODGERS: For the Dodgers, I worked up a "Dem Bums" script to replace "Los Dodgers" and added T-bars to the sleeves. Everything else is pretty similar. C&C appreciated!
  18. Thanks! Here's a fun idea I had for a 1983 White Sox City Connect fauxback: WHITE SOX 1983 CITY CONNECT: Since the Sox love wearing their '83 throwbacks so much, I designed a City Connect uni in the style of that look. Monochrome navy with a "CHI" cap that mimics the front of the '82-86 jerseys. The numbers are in the same style as the lettering from those uniforms. C&C appreciated! I'll probably end up doing fauxbacks for the other teams as well.
  19. Ooh, this actually gives me a fun idea! BEES HOME: BEES ROAD: BEES HOME/ROAD ALT: I finagled the stencil "Boston" script to create a new "Bees" script. Went with yellow scripts and numbers on both the home and road to stray true to those 1930s Bees uniforms. This was fun to do!
  20. Thanks! I agree that if the Marlins came into existence in the '70s this is what they might have looked like. Today we have the Red Sox! RED SOX HOME: RED SOX ROAD: RED SOX HOME ALT: RED SOX ROAD ALT: For Boston, the home, road and home alt are just variations on the team's actual City Connect design. The road alt features the stencil "B" which also replaces the traditional Red Sox "B" on the cap and sock design. C&C appreciated! The D-Backs or Giants will probably be up next.
  21. Thanks. Not sure what I'll do with the Giants. I think I've decided they're my least favorite of the City Connect designs. Up today are the Marlins! MARLINS HOME: MARLINS ROAD: MARLINS ALT: This one's fairly straightforward. I whipped up a white version of the Marlins' City Connect for the home set and designated the red jersey as the alt. Monochrome light blue on the road with the cap logo on the jersey. I also added front numbers across the board. C&C appreciated! Boston is next.
  22. Thought it would be fun to do a full uniform set built around each team's City Connect look. I'll start out with the Cubs: CUBS HOME: CUBS ROAD: CUBS ALT: I decided to use the sky blue from the Chicago flag as the team's primary color for this redesign. I really like the Cubs "C" with six pointed star so it's front and center on both the home and alternate jerseys. As I've said before, the "Wrigleyville" script is by far the thing I dislike most about the Cubs set, so I've relegated it to the road uni. C&C appreciated! The Marlins will probably be next. P.S. I should clarify I won't be doing this for every team. The Dodgers, for instance, wouldn't be worth my time.
