  1. that's... the entire point of this forum..?
  2. This is one of the worst ones so far. The Bears don't need an alternate helmet at all, especially one that completely sinks an already mediocre alternate jersey. This is just atrocious and doesn't vibe with the Bears' look in the slightest. I hope they never dare to pair it with the normal home and away sets.
  3. Never. They learned their lesson about monochrome vs. monochrome with similar colors after the colorblind color rush debacle. I highly doubt the return/continuation of mono-black will do anything to change that.
  4. Not a fan, but at least it's a black alt helmet for a team that reasonably has black in the color scheme, unlike some teams I know of. Alt helmet rankings so far, from best to worst: Patriots Falcons Giants Cowboys Texans Bengals Panthers Eagles Jets Saints Commanders
  5. Regarding the TV numbers, I tried both shrinking them and removing them altogether, and getting rid of them is the way to go. As for this, as I said in the original post:
  6. I knew you'd have something to add, I'm always worried you'll be displeased when I'm going over ideas for Charlotte haha Anyways, here's an update colorway for Charlotte, per your suggestions. The blue is lightened to be more accurate to Richard Petty's iconic car, and the black is swapped out for a deep plum for an extra Charlotte-y flair. I tried a white facemark, but it completely threw off the color balance of the whole set.
  7. Loving the last few teams, especially San Jose, Albuquerque and Austin. Your nicknames, color combos, and kit designs are always brilliant. Keep up the good work, looking forward to watching this series continue!
  8. I fully agree, but it's incredibly entertaining to see it play out until the bitter end. It's nice to see the whole of the board come together to dunk on a troll, even if such engagement encourages other trolls in the future.
  9. Great to see you back! This batch of hockey concepts has been amazing as usual, I especially like Seattle and Philly. Really looking forward to seeing more!
  10. I should hate it, but I don't. I hate the idea of a league-wide template, but this gives each team enough personality for it to work. The CFL is a mess aesthetically, and while I don't think this is the solution, I like some of these concepts over what teams have in real life. Great job as always!
  11. Not sure about the helmet or socks on this one, the color balance feels way out of wack. White helmet and swapping the red and blue on the socks and away numbers would look a bit better I think. With some tweaks, this would be a great modern take on the classic Oilers set.
  12. Gonna go with 1, though I think I prefer top right from the previous iteration a bit better. Fresh concept and great execution, as always.
  13. With the Texans releasing a new Battle Red alternate helmet, I took a stab at redesigning the Texans with an emphasis on red over navy, inspired by @nate.sweitz's Texans concept. Harnessing Texas flag imagery, the new uniforms rely on thick blocky stripes of color for a more modern look. Jerseys and pants come in red, white, and navy to be mixed and matched. The number font style invokes an ol’ western flair. For the throwback, I just said ‘screw it’ and gave the Texans some Oilers throwbacks. I don't care that the Titans own the rights. I make the rules here. I am a cranky toddler and the NFL is my sandbox. I put together a generic 1930’s-adjacent fauxback, but I wasn’t a huge fan. This is much funner. That’s all for now. Made in Affinity Designer. C&C appreciated
  14. I'm so glad silver pants are back, instantly upgrades this set from a C+ to an A-. I'm not super fond of the red/navy/red striping on the pants, but I'm not gonna complain about moving away from monochrome. I would love to see both the jersey and pants use a slightly thinner double stipe, red/silver on the jersey and red/blue on the pants. It'd be a nice middle ground between classic and modern whilst alluding to the 1995 flying Elvis shoulders set. That would push this set to one of the best of the league for me. As is, with the silver pants returning, it's still a good looking uniform, but just not quite as good as they could be.
  15. I'm too new to the boards to tell if this is the right usage of the term, but... Clevejacked?
  16. They're awful and plain, no doubt, but at least they're better than the Jazz set. The logo on the shorts and inlines on the wordmark and numbers give them some semblance of a personality. I actually like the gold-on-gold inlines, but making the striping barely noticeable is a horrible look. Too simple and too Jazz-like, but it could've been substantially worse. I'll take plain with small tidbits of charm than gaudy, over-designed trash any day. It's infuriating that they went with something so plain given the amount of history and fun motifs they could have relied upon and it's telling of how crappy modern NBA uniforms are becoming, but at least it's a 2/10 instead of a 1/10, I guess.

  18. Ahoy gamers, I've got a handful of updates, some minor, some medium, one overhaul that I'm not sure about yet. Atlanta Honeybees Atlanta get a tweaked logo with a sturdier and more realistic bee, as well as redesigned uniform set that uses a hexagon pattern in striping similar to the 2017-2020 Arizona set, which I thought were underrated. The peach color has been made bolder and the wordmarks have been updated. Baltimore Warriors Baltimore gets a tweaked primary logo, refreshed alternate logos, slightly darkened colors, and updated uniforms. Striping retains the sublimated flag pattern but reflects the logo better for a more balanced look, and the number font gets a much-needed update. Carolina Flyers I’m not quite sold on this update yet, but I think it’s a good start. Firstly, the name changes from Charlotte to Carolina, as I couldn’t figure out a Charlotte-focused look that I liked. The Flyers name honors both racing and aviation, specifically the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Aviation Museum, and the Kitty Hawk Flight. The shade of blue and crown in the logo are nods to The King, Richard Petty. The logo and wordmarks are where I’m unsure, as they feels a bit too plain at the moment, though I managed to fit in some nice symbolism and even a subtle F in the negative space. I’m happy with the uniforms, though I may have gone overboard in using the wing-inspired striping. I’d love to hear y’all’s thoughts on this one, suggestions on where to take the logo would be especially welcome. Pittsburgh Hammers Pittsburgh gets an updated logo, nothing too special but it does the job well. I’m considering changing the name to Vulcans, though I’ve had trouble including fire or other forge-themed elements into the logo without making things too cluttered. Uniforms are tweaked, moving the striping from the sleeves to the shoulders. Seattle Emeralds Seattle gets a tweaked logo, swapping out the hexagonal badge for a diamond-shaped badge that fits the Emeralds moniker a bit better and looks less awkward. The wordmarks have also been changed to be taller and less sharp, but retain the gem-inspired beveling. Uniforms are updated to match. That's all for now. The only teams I plan on updating soon - excluding Carolina's ongoing development - are San Francisco and Jacksonville, though I may make some minor tweaks to Miami, LA, and perhaps San Diego. I still think I can finish all the updates I have planned before I move out this fall, but I can’t say for sure. Made in Affinity Designer. C&C appreciated.
  19. this is what I meant, I was incredibly tired when I wrote the initial post, that's on me
  20. I thought I was clear, I meant a red and blue team that emphasizes red. The Chiefs do not fit that description.
  21. Found this today, looks pretty accurate to what was released (even the finish seems to match up pretty well) and showcases what the new red lid will look like on the battle red jersey. Personally, I love it. Texans should go with this look as their primary set. With all the navy and red in the league, it's a wonder there isn't a red-first team yet. The Texans have the perfect set to go red full-time, works much better than their current navies in my book. The navy look just feels bland and uninteresting, but unoffensive. This feels a lot more vibrant and fun without changing anything but the helmet. Excited to see what this combo looks like on the field.
  22. All of these ideas are great, but this one takes the cake for me. Excellent coloring, patterns work amazing, and the logo update is perfect. If the Canucks were to ever switch away from blue and green, I would want them to switch to this exact set. Amazing job with this series so far, every concept is incredibly well-made and abounding with creativity. Great job as always!
  23. Been a while since I updated this thread. I haven't had many ideas for NFL teams over the last 8 months, but now that school is over I might start picking this series up again. I recently did a quick redesign for the Washington Commanders as a entry to a small branding contest, so I thought I'd share it here. I decided - half out of laziness, half because it's more of a challenge - to stick with the Commanders moniker, despite not liking it all that much. This is less of rebranding Washington to be my ideal team, but fixing the Commanders brand to be something that's actually serviceable and fits the city of DC without using too much military imagery. The logo keeps the W, with the stars and stripes of the DC flag added for flair and the Washington Monument hidden in the negative space. I redesigned the badge to be far simpler, still retaining many of the elements of the original without looking cluttered. I also added a secondary pentagonal logo based off of my NAFA team, the Washington Sentinels. The uniforms return to a more traditional style, with the stripes and stars from the logo used on the shoulders and blocky stenciled numbers adding a slight modern flair. I decided to bring back the gold pants as a primary combo, as I'm not too fond of having white pants when there's so much gold elsewhere in the uniform set. I kept the white and burgundy pants as secondary options. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this redesign. Can't wait to see what y'all think. That's all for now. I'll try to come up with more ideas to continue my NFL redesigns, but I've found that many of my ideas are either to similar to other concepts out there or don't change enough from the original sets to warrant posting. Regardless, I'll see what I can do. Made in Affinity Designer. C&C appreciated.
  24. This looks like it's gonna be a great series, this is a massive undertaking and I'm excited to see how you've completely reshuffled the NCAA and the first couple of uniform concepts are amazing. Looking forward to seeing this series continue, I'll be sure to follow along!
