That was all sorts of insane. What a game, what a finish.

I'm a graduate of a mid-sized Catholic school in the Northeast, so actually quite happy to see Villanova take down a large public school. Unfortnately, my beloved alma mater (Fordham) has an awful basketball program and hasn't been to the tournament since 1992, so I have to live vicariously through other small-ish private schools. Fordham really should have a much, much better basketball program (no reason they can't be a St. John's, St. Joe's, Xavier, even a Villanova), but can't have it all, I suppose.

Anyway, great to see a small private school beat out a bunch of public schools and historic basketball powerhouses.

I know nobody actually watches women's basketball, but the brick pattern on the floor of the Women's NCAA tournament court HAS to be intentional, right?

Another brick post. This is seriously resembling a WNBA game.

Please now. Let's not act like Villanova is Florida Gulf Coast.

What's also sad is how Marcus Paige's amazing 3-pointer to tie the game will be completely forgotten, due to the game's outcome.

Since nobody really wants the Georgia Tech gig, except for possibly Cuonzo Martin (if he can escape his covering up of his role in a sexual harrassment issue), here is the coach movement for this year.

http://hoopdirt.com/job-tracker-2016-coaching-changes/

SLU hired Travis Ford?

Pacific hired Damon Stoudamire?

Terry Porter was so desparate to be a HC, he took the worst gig in the WCC at Portland?

And Pat Summit's 25 year old son was the LaTech Women's HC...until today.

Change.org petition:

This game was poorly officiated from the tip off to the end. It was a one sided called game all the way through. The officials called fouls against UNC that should have not been called and never called Villanova for the fouls they committed. The officials never called Villanova for multiple travel violations either. Also I want a complete investigation into the officials as it was them that decided the game not who played better.

To be fair, UNC not playing in a game that is one-sidedly officiated in their favor is kind of a new experience.
