I was listening to the game while doing work, and I temporarily forgot it was in Cleveland.  I've never heard a crowd be so for the road team in a championship game or series.

Can anyone remember anything like this?

Well it's clear. Time to turn Progressive Field into a parking lot :upside:

The cubs will celebrate on the frozen blood of the non-believers.

The Red Sox did it twice in 2004.  I know that much.

A friend of mine has had Indians season tickets since 1994. Every year the Indians make the playoffs, he goes to game one of each series and sells the rest of his tickets. Hearing the crowds at Progressive Field the past two nights has me wondering if a lot of people do what my friend does.

I know he's been able to pay for a good chunk of his season tickets each year with the money he makes selling off tickets to series with the big name teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, etc. I can only imagine how much money he made selling three World Series games tickets to Cubs fans.

Didn't even realize that connection until I was on an internet show and the host started giggling because he thought my name sounded like a fart.

Some people who can afford it have already paid thousands of dollars for one ticket. So thousands of dollar$ times three.

I agree to the fullest. I love hockey, hockey is great, but baseball truly is the finest sport. Baseball and tennis.

His tickets run about 5000 bucks a season. He and one other guy split the cost of two front row seats behind home plate. I'll bet the money he made off the World Series tickets alone were enough to pay for next year.

I'm not even a Cubs fan (but I am rooting for them), and this is stressing me out. The best pitcher on the team comes into the game, gets a double play ball struck right to him, and he's too mentally fragile to be able to throw the ball to second. It worked out eventually, but this is the kind of stuff you guys have dealt with for over a century? Every other team's stresses are a walk in the park by comparison.

Hopefully he'll be able to show himself to the public tomorrow morning.

Hopefully he releases a statement.
