Just learned of the Mariners doing a Boise State jersey special last weekend.  I love BSU's blue turf, and I watched their brief baseball season.

Really odd to me considering how many other schools are in proximity to Seattle. UW, WSU. Gonzaga, SU, Whitman, etc

if a team needs to get rid of their traditional away uniform there is a serious problem.

No team needed to get rid of their traditional away uniform.

I like the Twins new set overall but still think that new M logo sucks. Should have went with the metrodome M or some update of it or just stuck with the TC.

Yeah, that definitely seems to be the most divisive part of the new set. Personally, I love it, but I’ve also never been a fan of the Metrodome “M,” as it always looked too cartoony & bloated to me.

I would be fine if they went with the TC on the road, though, & just left the M hat for the alternate jersey (the TC being on both the hat & the sleeve patch would feel repetitive). I do think they should add a white-panel hat to match the home batting helmet, though.

It was a Negro League team doing what they had to do. I love this as a throwback for the Giants. I would love it if they would pull out a San Francisco Seals look as a regularly used alt at some point, though. This would be fantastic as a regular Sunday alt.

I actually kinda hate that script because there's no way anyone would actually write like that.  You'd have to start with the tail, push it (if you're a righty, drag if you're lefty), and then make the S (which still doesn't really flow naturally into the e).

I am pretty certain you would start there.

Good call, - I think you're right, but still - nobody would ever draw an S that way.  You're still going bottom up and backwards.  Still think it's awkward to have the tail going that direction, when it's no more effort to have it go the traditional way.

The S looks like a flipped treble clef to me so it could also be drawn like that.

Just flip the instructions and put it on an angle while extending the centre line into having a tail.

I also think steps 6 and 7 in this image should be part of step 1 or should be steps 2 and 3, but that's neither here nor there.

This is why I love this place.

Given my last name is Snowman, I can't imagine starting an S there.  But, I draw my print S from the bottom and was always told that was weird, so... maybe?  But I feel that first stroke is necessary to set the tone.

The explanation for the Seals bear uniform did it for me.

I do that too.  I have no idea why or when I started it - it definitely wasn't how I was taught - and everyone also tells me it's weird.

Both my first and middle names end in downward slashes, so I just imagine it's a shorter distance in writing out my name and I learned it that way.  I also wear a watch on my dominant hand, cut food with my non-dominant hand and do all sorts of things because I learned it that way myself without anyone saying different and it just feels natural to me.

Ok so another fun alternative to that weird looking Seals script would be this jersey. Super funky, but I like that as well.
