Warriors in black at home, lakers in yellow on the road, warriors fans in yellow t shirts. I’m gonna have an aneurysm

Warriors deserve to lose based on aesthetics alone.

I never noticed the grey details on this Warriors uniform. Take away the big weird rose thing and it’s almost like a good version of the new Jazz era. Maybe the third team to attempt this color scheme and look will actually be an appropriate one to do so.

Lakers are a 2 or 3 seed masquerading as a 7.

Best record in the west since the ASB. Some caveats there, but they clearly hit a different gear. Lakers were in total control of the second half and their defense is almost perfect.

Lakers in 6.

Doesn't bode well for Golden State that they made 15 more 3's than the Lakers, shot 40% from 3 to the Lakers 24%, Poole and Klay finally both had good scoring games in the same game and they still lost.

The tape showed that the Lakers are a bad match-up for Golden State before the series, and tonight proved it. AD was utterly dominant. The Warriors really had, and have, no answer for AD.

The best players in this year's playoffs are AD, Butler and Jokic. Jokic has been the most consistent, but AD has had the most dominant performances.

Warriors aren't going to just roll over -- they're way too talented for that and could absolutely still win this series. But LA took home court and won with all of the stats working against them. And even still, they looked great doing it.

Why am I not surprised that TNT would give us the broadcast innovation of flying a drone around the arena only to get video with the quality of a 15-year-old video game. I hope it crashes into Donnie Wahlberg.

A ridiculous FOUR DAYS OFF between Nuggets/Suns games 2 and 3. For no reason either. The Avalanche are eliminated and the Suns don't share an arena with anyone.

I don't actually think Coach Bud is an effective playoff coach, but I think firing him two weeks after his brother died is pretty :censored:ty. Plus, Giannis was hurt.

Hopefully they have someone else waiting in the wings, because that's a trash move.

I won't comment on the timing of his termination, but I'll still say that Budenholzer was the weakest link to that Bucks team winning it in 2021. I think Milwaukee will be fine without him for the most part.

Frank Vogel was saddled with Russ and got even less out of him than Darvin Ham did. I don't know if it was championship arrogance, but all of Vogel's creativity seemed to disappear in 2021-22 (though I think having to coach Russell Westbrook would do that to a guy).

Bud is a terrific regular season coach and an awful playoff one. I think that 2021 title was among the luckiest of all time, but he still won it. That's a good career highlight to have and he's got $$$ to enjoy in retirement. That sounds pretty good to me.

Toronto needs a refresh at all levels, I think.

It makes no sense at all because even if the Avs were still going the schedule would still have worked without the days off.  The Heat/Knicks have the same thing going on too, so the only thing I can think of is that they wanted a stand-alone weeknight for the Lakers/Warriors and Celtics/76ers. To try to boost ratings?

Some exciting refball going on in SF tonight.

But refball can't explain everything. You would have expected the Warriors to blow out the Lakers, and blow them out they did.

Warriors gotta feel dumb about that contract they gave Jordan Poole. Maybe Draymond was right 🤷‍♂️
