It's interesting that they are as 'late' as they are. Now I wonder how many of them were sprung upon us without warning? That is plenty of time to go through the redesign process. The current uniform on the current template has noticeably drawn functional criticism, especially for how tiny the TV numbers are. While we complain about bad uniform design elements all the time, something like the functionality of squeezing TV numbers the size of laptop stickers onto the jerseys surely has prompted an internal conversation about needing a refresh (could see an equipment manager immediately bringing it up as an issue). It’s only “stale” for the same reason the Titans old look got “stale”. They started using wacky combinations that made little to no sense and didn’t fit together properly. Guarantee you we’re going to get some crap similar to the Titans but with dumb random cat scratches on the shoulders instead of a sword blade. Cardinals I’m interested in, but they have the potential to really easily :censored: that whole thing up. The only two things I’d like to see with them is either go WAY traditional and simplified (think a red and white version of the Raiders) to match how old the franchise is, or go in the other direction and go full desert Cardinal to match the area. Replace white with sand or whatever. I'm happy and sad to see the Panthers go. I don't think the current look is bad. I just feel that there is more they can do with this color scheme/brand. The generic shoulder striping, for instance, doesn't do quite enough for me anymore.
