Dnice
I liked Carolina's home set, (the main set) just too bad we'd see it around less than 4 times a season, it feels like .

I mean the stripes have already been cut off by a lot of the current jersey cuts. At least now there will be consistency across all the players.
Brave-Bird 08
If the Panthers are actually taking an opportunity to change the jersey color and adjust the sleeve stripe, but don't fix the comically small TV numbers, I will laugh

There was that weird era during the switch from the Reebok template to Nike in 2019 where the stripes looked horrible on QB/Kicker/Punters and amazing on skill guys. Fixing the stripes, removing some logos, and removing the TV numbers is all that Carolina needs. The silver helmet is a modern classic. As a longtime Panther fan I’m ecstatic that the current look isn’t going anywhere
JOEYxFRESCO
Official team update: https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-jersey-color-changing-slightly Quote CHARLOTTE — The Panthers will have a (slightly) new look this season, but it's not a dramatic change, and perhaps not one most people will even notice. When Nike started making NFL uniforms in 2012, the blue they used was the one in their color book that most closely matched the Panthers' color, but it was not an exact match. In recent years they have added more colors to their color book, so they now have a closer replication that is more in line with the team's blue – process blue. The color correction coincides with Nike's shift to a new uniform technology. As part of this shift, the jerseys will have a modified shoulder stripe that stops short of going under the armpit, which Nike designed to accommodate increased mobility. While there have been reports that other major changes were afoot, the team is not dropping silver from the color scheme or making any other drastic re-designs. The first good look at the updated jersey color will come on draft night when the No. 1 overall pick holds one up on stage at the NFL Draft in Kansas City on April 27. Fans can pre-order their #1 draft pick jerseys starting at 11 a.m. ET that same day.
GriffinM6
Hopefully the Panthers stripes will taper the same way as this old Bowling Green jersey. 7 3
oldschoolvikings
Nike does such a terrible job with UCLA style shoulder stripes, just absolutely abysmal. The frustrating part is that I have to believe there's a solution to be had, they just aren't interested in the time and effort it would take when it's so much more profitable to just plug everyone in to their existing templates. And obviously, the teams don't care enough (or probably even think about it enough) to fight them on it. And there's visual proof that it can be done. As a whole Nike's design work is well above what Under Armour puts out, but one area where UA is unarguably head and shoulders above Nike is in this type of traditional shoulder stripping... If you look at the before and after with Nike's takeover of UCLA you'd have to be one of those people who really just don't care about these things to not see what's obviously a regression in the way this style of stripping is supposed to work... Taken as a whole, Nike probably wins in the Nike vs Under Armour vs Adidas football uniform argument, but it's annoying that their status at the top of the heap has let them get lazy when it comes to things like this and their stubborn insistence on forcing teams into their per-existing color choices. They're making plenty of money. They can do better. 13 3 http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/

But if all they do is change colors, they should just toss shoulder numbers too.
AgentColon2
I know they said draft day will be the first good look. But isn’t this just a crappy look and indicates what we should expect for the stripe?
jags1828
They need to fix the pants stripe while they are at it.
BBTV
They’re keeping the shoulder numbers. That’s unfortunate. 8 "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." They're making plenty of money. They can do better. Nike tried extending this with LSU and Mississippi a few years back before they moved on to the new templates. I think the complaint came from the teams so Nike went back to cutting the stripes off. So the issue here is the limitation of the template for Nike, since the seams are now no longer below the arm pits. I wonder if the Vapor Fusion template might permit this to come back into play.

Also I'd like to see the weight of the shoulder/pant stripes corrected. I always felt the original version, with thicker outer striping worked better, though I understand the change. I'm also in the camp that prefers the stripes ending at the seam across the chest, as Nike does it now. I don't think it looks better at all when the stripes go all the way down under the armpit. They're not going to start making "the sleeves bigger" so these types of stripes are going to be an issue, it is what it is.
