Maybe the Royals finally pulled their heads out of their rears and realized if they want voters to approve a new stadium, they better put a decent product on the field. Who would’ve seen that coming? Because I honestly didn’t.
BBTV
Not even arbitration eligible? What a stupid-ass move by the Royals. At least just buy out his arbitration years, then pay him in another year or two when you're 1000% sure he's worth it (he seems worth it, but things can change on a dime.) I guess the thought is that his value would only go up if he's not locked in now, and that's legit. And as he became a bigger name, the chances of him wanting to play somewhere else go up too All I know was I was blown away by him the few times I saw him on TV. Dude is a legit star. Just sucks that he's stuck where nobody will ever see him play unless their team has a series with KC. I can't blame a guy for taking money that was put in front of him, but there's no way they will spend on anyone else, and he just committed himself to playing a lifetime of meaningless games, and potentially being the least impactful HOFer since Mike Trout. 1 "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." Cujo
Q: Is there a reason people are throwing around the "future hall of famer" tag on Jose Altuve, since he re-signed to play the rest of his career in Houston recent. What Altuve and other '17 Astros batters did seem far worse than what Bonds and Clemens did, and they're never getting into Cooperstown.
Red Comet
And I you not, here is a picture of the suspect: Wichita Police apparently say that there was no racial motivation to this crime. Dude was apparently trying to sell it for scrap. In hindsight, hard to think that this guy saw race when looking straight ahead was enough of a challenge. McCall
1 hour ago, LMU said: Another Arte Moreno front office victory. I fully respect his view of the game as his "job" and that his family comes first. It's how most people look at their careers. But when you're being paid that much money to DO that job, you better be giving it your all while you're at work. You don't have to act like you don't care about baseball to put your family first. You don't have to act like IT'S a distraction and burden to justify your priorities in life. Baseball is what's given you more financial security for your family at such a young age. More money than most people will ever earn working 30-40 years. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

Another thing that would not surprise me is if MLB's next commissioner -- whoever that might be -- is much more aggressive about expansion than Rob Manfred has been. While Manfred has consistently conditioned any future addition of teams to MLB on firm resolutions of the respective ballpark situations of the A's and the Rays, his successor might not be so patient with regard to expansion. BBTV
Hope they have a good bullpen, since they'll be throwing 4 innings whenever he starts. It's telling that he got a relatively low salary for such a short deal, when Zach Wheeler just got 3 at 42M and that was considered market value at worst. Very happy the Phillies didn't go after him. Also, not-so-bold prediction: if he's healthy (which he won't be), Mike Trout will be playing outfield for the Phillies by August. Not the tope of move that puts them over the top, but it'll be interesting. They do! And now they almost have too many starters, so they can shift Jordan Hicks back to the pen if need be. I give Farhan a lot of :censored: sometimes, but this was a very good off season for the Giants. 1 On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
