Blue and black?

I'm guessing he meant the inner blue circle and the outer blue circular outline.

It definitely could've been any other shape besides a circle/roundel, but does it really matter? It's a placeholder.

The Jets should be using that color scheme, with the lighter blue as the primary color.

Now the Jets should go back to their original colors, it's time for them to rebrand.

Royal blue/sky blue/grey/red for the Jets.

Happy Jets Came Back Day, by the way. 13 years today and they haven't completely failed.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The problem with "Outlaws" is that it just doesn't FEEL like a Utah name.  Outside of Butch Cassidy, the outlaw imagery seems more appropriate for the Southwest (Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma) and Colorado. Not Utah.

Then again, neither does Yeti or Mammoth either.

Only solution? ICE JAZZ!

So, 4 states that surround Utah in 3/4 of the directions all fit the outlaw imagery but not the one in the center of them....👌

Jets 2.0 have been around longer than the Thrashers were. Not sure if that's surprising or not

I wasn't sure that was a dark blue as opposed to black. Or am I missing something?

It's where I sit.

If your team is playing a road game in the Bay area and you don't spend the evening referring to them as the Sharts, why did you even bother becoming a hockey fan in the first place?

If your team is playing a home game in the Bay Area and you don’t call them the Sharts, you’re doing it wrong, even.

The NHL seems to have come up with a place-holder logo for the Utah franchise...

Everything in me told me that was the colorway they were gonna go with, even temporarily. Makes too much sense, considering how representative it is of ski resorts (snow-covered slopes, blue skies, and the black...well, diamonds??) Anyway, I also wouldn't be too shocked/mad if that ends up being their final colorway whenever they inevitably implement the Yeti[s] nickname settle on a final nickname. After all, it is/would be a somewhat unique colorway, as to date no other team has paired columbia with black (depending on a/ how you feel about MLS being a major pro sport league and b/ MNUFC also using that same scheme).

how the hell do you make an "outlaws" logo??

guess you can't use old six shooters like the Houston  colt 45's.... would be sweet though.

You make a generic cattle rustler with a bandana mask. Its probably the easiest to depict.

Honestly I understand the concerns with all of the other names, but "Outlaws" is still the worst to me. It screams generic EA Sports Create-A-Team mode. Its also very illfitting in my opinion. When I think of Utah, renegade lawbreakers don't exactly come first to mind.

That’s why, of those sorry four, I like it the best. It’s the safest. Not going to impress that many people, but also won’t be a total sideshow/Avalanche derivative like the other choices.

Spoiler

It’s the Joe Biden of team name choices, if you will.

I like the colors. It looks sky blue; black and white to me but could be a navy. It’s just for one season so it’s whatever.

This would be a nice permanent color scheme as well but I feel wouldn’t fit Outlaws if that somehow beats out Yeti(s).

In the interview with Ryan Smith it sounded like he said “Yetis is up there, Mammoths is up there” but doubt they will switch them to plural.

Well, some people get very angry when their doorbell is rung when they don't expect company.

So you could say the State is the hotbed/breeding ground for pranksters. (Outlaws)
