But in reality, I can understand why the ducks would want some kind of brand consistency color scheme wise. I too loved this jersey. Taking this and making a home orange set to go with it would be a big upgrade. Their gold just bothers me a bit. It's too close to a khaki color. The old Ducks logo is a nice take on the classic skull-and-crossbones. Keep the "Webfoot D" as a shoulder patch nod to that era. As for UTAH... I'm starting to lean to the "Blizzard(s)" camp. 'Twould suit the black, powder blue, white colour scheme (which is where they seem to be going). It's a pretty inclusive name that could encompass a lot of imagery... The snow-storm theme/merch may also appeal to the huge ski & snowboard community. Have a Yeti or Mammoth mascot or hell, have both... A huge hulking MAMMOTH for visual impact & photo-ops... Doesn't quite match the leak (if it's legit) but this mockup is better than said leak. The hockey stick apparently becomes thin above the heel (almost matching the thickness of the white stripe), with the blade being much thicker than the shaft (yeah yeah). Don't really love this. As much as green & gold is one of my favourite colour combos in sports, I've always liked the Wild's existing scheme. There are far too few teams out there who use green & red. Also, the logo works much better in the original colours. It's a bit like the Canucks orca logo which looked better in their old colours. Here's the full update video from Icethetics: Flames will be keeping the black third jersey next season, contrary to previous reports that it would be retired Kings rebrand will be based on the Gretzky-era uniforms more than the recent alternates. The chevy logo will be getting an updated typeface, a different crown closer to their purple & gold logo, and a slightly different shape Ducks new logo will be a redrawn version of the Mighty Ducks, with heavier lines used on the mask, an orange eye, sparkly gold triangle, and orange sticks which now have a curved heel & flat blade. An updated duck foot will be used as the shoulder logo. The Ducks are also updating the orange, using a darker shade similar to the Flyers new uniforms. I wasn't alive when the North Stars were in town, but watching the Wild play in the kelly & gold jerseys just looks so right in a way I can't really describe. I've gone to dozens of Wild games over the years, even working at the X as an usher for a bit, but after watching them play the Rangers in their reverse retros a couple years ago I realized just how much better we looked. I know the Wild aren't the North Stars and that our old team now plays in Dallas, but watching that RR game made me feel like I was watching the same team my parents grew up watching and theres something very cool about that to me.
