We're coming to take back our gold medal and in three years, we're coming to take back our World Cup. Emma Hayes has put the world on notice. 2 Quote Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions) King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)
GDAWG
4 hours ago, MJWalker45 said: Sunday was a crazy one for women's soccer: Group A Colombia beat New Zealand 2-0, not a big surprise. Canada won 2-1 over France, with the winner coming in extra time. Canada is now on 0 points and still has a chance to make the quarters after being docked 6 points. Group B Australia beat Zambia in an offensive display 6-5. Banda for Zambia had a hat trick. The USWNT beat Germany 4-1, in what is considered a bit of a surprise to anyone that hasn't seen what Emma Hayes teams can do on the regular. Group C Brazil lost 2-1 to Japan, who scored both goals after 90 minutes, the first was a penalty. Spain beat Nigeria 1-0 in the one game that seemed to follow expected form. And we also have Snoop Dogg highlights reviews: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97pgI-LoEKM Also something that I believe is new this year, the international organization that is in charge of each event is included on a placard just outside the field of play. You can see the FIH logo on the upper left of the photo. So here's how the USSF sees their soccer teams at the Olympics: - USA Men: Let's send the C team - USA Women: Let's send the A team over there. The men are hampered by the fact that any MLS or European team doesn't have to release their players since it's a U23 tournament instead of a full national team tournament. NWSL teams could do the same, but that's never going to happen when they are so much more attached to US Soccer than MLS is, in terms of promotion and funding. How many under 23 age players are on the A squad that could have played? Probably only the guys that are there now, save for a couple players that are in Liga MX and MLS but weren't selected. Smaller rosters for this tournament didn't help either, which is why you see a lot of USWNT veterans not making the trip, that would have if they had a 23 player roster. I want to see what the workaround is if they can't get this fixed quickly enough. Do they borrow the swimming pools, stop the clock and then start it again with the bike? What's the plan for LA 28? I'm guessing they'd use the Pacific, which makes life a lot easier than a waterway that has been a sewer since before 900 CE.

GDAWG
Welp, no Jimmer magic in Men's 3x3 Basketball today. So is there a reason why the Women's 3 x 3 can have WNBA players (Dearica Hamby but before that Cameron Brink) but the Men's 3x3 can't have current NBA players? For 3x3 you have to have accumulated a certain amount of world ranking points in sanctioned 3v3 tournaments beforehand to play in the Olympics. NBA players could participate, but the teams themselves would never allow the players to take the time off necessary or risk injury.
