GeorgesL
Here's my idea of what an Alouettes' alternate uniform should look like:All-blue jerseys, with the silver fleur-de-lis with blue and red trim, different style numerals (I got it from the Mariners), pants stripes to match the helmet stripes, and just the alouette on the crest area of the jersey. (I know it's so 1995, but I love that idea so much!)What do y'all think?
Phil
I hated the 1995 idea, so I'm not a huge fan of this.Being the only CFL team in Quebec, I don't mind the inclusion of the fleur-de-lis. Number font isn't bad... a little generic, but not bad at all.Would love to see the CFL eliminate ads on the jerseys.Good effort! Some solid execution here. Have to second Sy on this--but if you douse the logo on front--put it at the bottom of the jersey-so it looks like it comes up out of it...(see Maddogs on this page-Uni thing -mid 90's style))(see here to see how bad it could look in real life)

MJWalker45
I like the logo placed on the front. I also like the font, but I think the ALouettes "A desisn" would fit better then the fluer de leis on the sleeves.
JamesCraven
MOD EDIT: I'm only sorry I didn't catch this earlier. Yeah, a lot of people have seen it already, but that doesn't mean I have to let it stay. Aside from the pure prepubescent stupidity of the statement itself, it's disrespectful of someone's handiwork - regardless of what you may think of its artistic merit. If I lose my mod privileges for removing this quote, so be it. Unwarranted, groundless attacks on a member's artistic labor without even a scintilla of explanation or justification will not be tolerated on my watch! Waffles
Four letters:Â B, B, S and S...all at the same time! Great constructive criticism! Such respect! No wonder you're so popular! As for the concept...I'd love for football teams to take a more risks with their jerseys like incorporating graphical elements like this, and I think this is a good idea. I'd change the font on the numbers and maybe add some striping to the sleeves just to break it up a bit. I like your thinking though!

bosox
Four letters: B, B, S and S...all at the same time! Nice response .As an regular uniform? No.As an alternate? Yes.Great concept, like UW said, add some stripes in. MAYBE change the number font. I think it works here, but there might bes omething better out there. I like to see non-traditional uniforms sometimes. This would be one I'd like to see.

Discrim
This finally gives me a chance to ask a question that's been bothering me since I first head about CFL teams:What is an Alouette, anyway? to be specific, alouette is French for lark.to be jersey, it's Discrimesque. i'm actually about to embark on an Argos jersey of a similar vein. paynomind
Allow me to attempt to teach the imbacile how to comment on a concept:alouettesfan - I really appreciate the effort you put into this concept. I can tell it was well thought-out. I see where you were going with this, and I like the attempt at crossing over soccer design to other sports jerseys. I'd prefer all ads were left off all jerseys ever, but since it has become a time of commercialism, I like to see now ways to encorporate them. Overall, I like what you did, though I think the front numbers may end up too small to truely be legible.Nice creative design, and we thank you for it.See, JIBJ thats how a comment to someone's hard work is supposed to go. Now, get your head out of your ample posterior and be a civilized member of this community.
TFoA
Oh jeez, in my chastising of Craven, I forgot the concept, how silly of me Anyways, this concept seems way too 90s-ish to me with the logo put on the abdoment and the number on the chest. But it is a nice looking fashion uniform, I'd buy it. SO good job
HurricaneDavid
Having an enormous logo on front and a number in an abnormal position is ugly, imho. This was the first similar style I thought of, and for me it ranks up there with one of the ugliest jerseys ever:If you're dead set on having a huge logo on the front, then leave the number off. JQK
I'm not too sold on the concept. I'm not a fan of having a logo on a football jersey, ala NFLE in the mid-late 90's.However, the execution of the idea is splendid.Everything that has been said about James Craven has been said. I can add no more. I just hope the moderators finally rethink their position and do what is right.
slapshot
It's different. Maybe if my eyes weren't immediately drawn to the dead figure on the front it would be better. There's a lot going on with the front of the jersey, and the most important element (the number) gets second (even third maybe) billing. As a referee (and as a fan) I want to see the number right away, and even if the whole team is dressed that way, it will still take extra time to find the number and register it.Maybe the logo could be screened in a bit, so it fades a bit into the fabric, and the sponsor patch made smaller. This way, you can keep all 3 elements, but the number will pop out a bit more.I think this is similar to one of the NFL-E teams (Scottish Claymores maybe?) and those irritated me for the same reason.Points for thinking outside the box, a little deduction for execution, but non bad overall. And anytime you see the letters "B, B, S & S" listed as a reponse, just think that there's 15 points of I.Q. for each letter.
