TruColor
Is the Pacers blue different in the new logo? or is it a trick of the eye? It looks like the yellow is a little more orangish as well. If ya READ my post (!), you'll see my explanation for the difference in the Yellow. The Blue is the same. The Gray is a non-metallic Gray (not Silver).I explained what the Pistons' new secondary looks like earlier. rtrich11
The Pistons update is fine, ALTHOUGH I'd have left the seams of the ball blue. That way the words Detroit Pistons would POP off it more, instead of competing with it. cafepress.com/artbyrichards
skeletor
For some reason, I'm not sure if i like the two different font sizes for the "detroit" and "pistons". I wonder if the old concept with the updated smaller "detroit pistons" text and basketball would work better.
boardname
Maybe I'm reaching here, but...PANTONE Posted on Tuesday, June 28th, 2005 - 22:18:23 QUOTE (chakfu @ Tuesday, June 28th, 2005 - 20:17:14) the pinstripes work fine to me. I'd be SHOCKED if the Pacers have pinstripes next year.Shocked....is that a hint at what the Pistons secondary logo might look like? A nod to their throwbacks? Maybe he means the Pistons new alt will be that of the WNBA Detroit Shock.
bulldogbarks55
The Pistons logo has always been very plain, except for the horse. By incorporating "Detroit" into the current design they've merely completed the modernization of the logo from the "Bad Boyz" era. I like it. As for the Pacers. Well, what is a "pacer?" A standard-bred race horse? The pace car at the "500?" Inquiring minds want to know.

AAAAAUGHHH!!!All these puns are enough to make me see STARS and give me a FEVER... "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

OK...again, here's the difference in the Pacers' Yellow - maybe I can explain it better:They use TWO different shades - one for "retail", and one for "on-court". The one for "on-court" IS more Orange than the "retail". Typically, you see the "retail" shade for stuff in print, but for the new logo, you usually see the lighter color. For this new logo, they're listing the "retail" Yellow as the official, but the official graphics use the "on-court" color.Does that make any sense? It's kind of silly to me - pick one shade and go with it.(the Fever does this crap as well)

DEAD!
here's the pistons new secondary:its likeable... It's alright. I would have preferred an overlapping same sized D and P much like the one from the teal jersey days I saw, I came, I left.
BCBoy
The new Pistons logo is deffinately an upgrade, looks 10000 times better to me for some reason. Pacers logo, GREY trim? Looks more like the Pacers logo got worse.
mike2sana
Personally, I wish the Pistons would drop the silver and the gradients in the ball logo, like so: thats already been done ATL
