The next great sports movie

What historical sports event, game, team, player, or coach do you think would make a good sports movie?

Maybe the '96 Packers or the '86 Mets, but I'm really not sure. Tell me what you think.

A movie about Joe DiMaggio would be good his insecurity his greatness on the field, his marriage to Marlyn Monroe. IM shocked it has not been made already.

1999-00 St. Louis Rams. A team comes out of nowhere with an unknown quarterback to win the Super Bowl by ONE yard. If that's not Hollywood then idk what is.

Has Lance Armstrong had a movie yet? If not, him hands down.

Something about curling, and unrequited love.

If you want a curling movie, watch "Men With Brooms". Pretty good, kinda funny, and a small role by Leslie Nielsen.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

That one's going to be a while, if it ever happens. DiMaggio was incredibly protective of his image, to the extent where he was fairly well-known for suing people for relatively minor things that he felt slighted him. A movie about him portraying him as anything but a near Godlike figure would almost certainly never see the light of day, as his agents/executors are just as protective as he was.

You guys are missing a big one.

Lefty's Guide to Beating Monkeys

The Phil Mickelson Story

Really though, with all the info coming out, Pat Tillman would have to be high on the list too.

Maybe a Jordan movie, that shows him getting cut from high-school, winning the NCAA and NBA titles, becoming a huge business endorcer, dealing with the loss of his father, failing at baseball, failing as an executive, failing at marriage, then (arguably) failing at his last comeback. Throw in some gambling action and you have someone who has arguably been at the top and the bottom.

Did the Mighty Ducks ever get a shot at Olympic Gold?
