I have only one, Ryan Howard for NL Rookie of the Year.

Here are some of his key numbers (and rankings among NL rookies):

.291 avg. (7th)

19 hr (1st)

54 rbi (2nd)

46 runs (8th)

80 hits (9th)

152 total bases (3rd)

2 grand slams (1st-t)

.356 obp (2nd)

.553 slug (2nd)

34 extra-base hits (1st)

Plus, I'm extremely biased. He's a fellow product of The Missouri State University. We're very proud.

The Missouri State University? Sorry but it just doesn't pack the same wallop.

Repeat after me The Ohio State University. See now that works and more importantly it's the actual official name of the school.

For what it's worth, as an alum of The Ohio State University, I am flattered by the imitation. :D

I gotta go with Swisher in the AL and Howard in the NL.

It has to be Howard. He has been so big for the Sillies during this September push for the playoffs. He has made people say "Thome who?", and unlike Thome, he wants the bat in his hands in a clutch situation.

The knock against him is that he's only played half a season. But, that just makes his numbers more impressive.

Are you kidding me? Swisher should get it handsdown in the AL!

You're surprised at his blind devotion to the Evil Empire?

Oh yeah! Forgot! $200 million and there barely in the playoff picture.

Personally if I think you are a fan of any team that's payroll is over 100 million, you shouldn't bitch about the other 2 teams that have payrolls over 100 mil.

Houston Street

Jeff Francour (I don't care if he's only played half the season, I think he's just as much the MVP of the braves as Andrew Jones is)

LOL @ Robinson Cano. How many errors does he have at 2B?

Nick Swisher is your AL rookie of the year.

Johnny Gomes from TB should get a couple votes though he's had a respectable season.
