SEMOSTLfan
As aggrivated as I am that the Cardinals choked, i still love that team with every last bit of me. As im writing this I think I'm getting teary eyed thinking that the last game has officially been played at Busch Stadium, Im going to miss that ballpark. Congrats to the Astros on their first pennant but I'm gonna have to be a White Sox fan because they deserve to win it all. To all the Cardinals fans out there I hope you join me in wearing your team apparrel tomorrow to show that we indeed are the best fans and baseball and will always love our Cardinals win or lose.4 Months 'til Spring Training! I heard the Cards announcers say during the game tonight that Busch is in the best shape its ever been ever since they got rid of the astro turf. I just dont understand whay they would take such a majestic and beautiful thing like Busch and completely tear it down in favor of a new stadium. The best baseball memory ive ever had took place at that stadium. Dont get me wrong, im sure the new stadium will be wonderful, but it breaks my heart to see them tear down such a staple in that city when it isnt really needed. Im gonna miss it so much, thats why sometimes renovation is the best thing to do. Houston didnt tear down the Astro Dome, why? Because its a Houston landmark. This almost makes me feel that the team and the city dont look at wonderful Busch Stadium the same way. Tis a true shame. Hopefully the new stadium will bring some more luck to the Cards in their future World Series appearences On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Plus i was trying to be a gracious loser by congratulating the Astros. Thanks for being a jerk. There have been plenty of lamentations or passionate posts from fans of other teams when their squads were defeated. You see a post like this because I think Cardinals fans are a little different from most teams' fans (I mean that in a good way, like I would speak of Packers fans). I'm a Cubs fan, but I take no joy in the Cardinals loss. I could only hope that my team could win as many division titles as you guys have.Good luck next year -- I hope we're there to battle with you in the end.RE: Busch - I made one trip there back in 1993 (I think), and saw the Wizard hit a home run (over the fence) during a game. I loved the place, and look forward to seeing the new one some time. It's where I sit.

Busch Stadium? What? Was there a single identifiable thing about Busch Stadium? Riverfront, Three Rivers, Veterans, Busch ... these were all the exact same stadiums, weren't they? gashouser27
yeah people are always amazed at cardinal fans and we are different than braves fans in a lot of ways..busch II will always be special..busch III will be special next year..how many fans would have sat through a game like game six and then while another team celebrates on your field have the class to stand and give an ovation to larry walker and matt morris and show appreciation for a great year?i wore my home colors today..next year starts tomorrow..you know walt and tony have started100 wins three years in row! yankeeman161
Congratulations to the Cardinals for posting the best record as the only 100 game winning team this year. A great dominice against the Padres and a great effort against the Astros. I thought the Pujols homer would spark the Cards to take the series to 7 games. I really hope Larry Walker returns for them next year and the Cards get over the hump and win it all.RIP Busch Stadium II, there will never be another stadium like it. Absolutely love it when it was astroturf, sorry to see it go. Good bye old friend. THE TOUGHEST S.O.B. IN THE CCSLC!Satan Lives!
