Any rumors , or any intrest that the blue jays are looking at ? I guess only the blue jays fans would know what i am talking about *cough* branden lol.

All I've heard lately is that the Jays are looking at Matt LeCroy... they still gotta trade Batista and Hinske though.

Matt LeCroy eh. With him, he either hits a home run or nothing. And guess what, he doesnt hit that many.

I agree, we have too many 1st basemen, and bastista was terrible for a closer last year, they need to trade them both for mabye another hitter or a good backup catcher.

Doug Meintkevic *sp* could be a Royal, the Royals also signed Mark Grudzielanek *sp*

KC and the Cubs are the top bidders for hot-cold Jacques Jones, and the Dodgers also signed Kenny Lofton.

From espn.com:

The Texas Rangers have helped address their pitching woes by reaching agreement to acquire San Diego Padres right-handed pitchers Adam Eaton and Akinori Otsuka and minor league prospect Billy Killian in exchange for right-handed pitcher Chris Young, first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and outfielder Terrmel Sledge, ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick has confirmed.

Seems like a good deal for both clubs. Texas gets a solid starter it needed, SD gets a young slugging first baseman to replace Nady and some outfield depth and offense in Sledge.

"The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."

Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. Not so much playing it, but more the designing and sewing of uniforms.

Tyler: That's neat.

Dr. Kelso: No, it's not.

Yankees sign Octavio Dotel

Dotel? That does'nt make sense because he had Tommy John surgery back in August. Oh well, Now the Yankees have two good closers, Dotel and Mariano.

Before it gets to that point, let me offer this...to no one in particular.

Don't give me the "Johnny Damon's a traitor" schpiel...most anyone would go to their rival firm in a heartbeat if they were offering a guaranteed contract worth 30% more than what the current employer offered. Let's think about this...4 years, 40 million versus 4 years, 52 million...what would YOU do?

I say more power to ya Johnny. This is more than likely going to be his last MLB contract, so if you're in a position to get more guaranteed cash and a better chance to get another ring then you do it. You don't need to appease Red Sox nation or the Yankee haters. As long as you can look yourself in the mirror (of course with the haircuts and shaving, you won't recognize yourself anymore), then it's all good.
