fufkin
I'm surprised that Syracuse doesn't wear a blue basketball jersey. The football team has occasionally worn orange; why not the basketball team blue? Can anyone else think of a school where the basketball team wears one color and the football team another? Thinking about it, it's kind of weird that Syracuse is the way it is.I seem to recall the last time Syracuse wore a blue jersey was against Kentucky in the late 80s early 90s. They were crushed and I think they vowed never to wear blue again.

deliver2david
What's up.I am trying to find out all of the teams that have an alternate in college basketball. Here is what i know of so far...ArizonaCaliforniaMiamiDukeIllinoisIowaMichiganMichigan St.GonzagaMaryland (has not been worn yet)VirginiaWashingtonIf anyone has the full list or any others, add it to the list please.I could be wrong, but I don't think that Michigan State has worn an alt this year. The past few years they have had a light silver alt but I don't recall seeing any silver this year. There was some talk of MSU going with a throwback for the Mateen Cleaves' jersey retirement but they didn't do that either.
TFoA
This might not add anything to the discussion, but Boston College's gold alternates are effin' fantastic. Â Â

Jamikel
UNC wore some Jordan-era throwbacks in a turn back the clock game against Virginia a couple years ago, who were also donned in retro garb.

TenaciousG
Washington has a gold alt to go along with its standard white and purple. They wear it for home white and for away colors. Also I know last year WSU had a grey alt to go along with their normal crimson and white, but I dont think I've seen it with this years set.Husky alts:Technically the cougs had white alts last year and home grays. Of course, since Russell is a joke and can't give our basketball team a consistent design, we only have the 2 brand new uniforms this year (home whites, road crimsons). toxrox1212121
I haven't seen Notre Dame wear a gold alternate for the past cpl years, but I do know they have been wearing a black uniform occasionally the last two years.

You used to be able to say Miami (football-primarily orange, basketball-mainly green), but Canes football wears the greens about as much as they wear orange nowadays. Then, Illinois...football traditionally wears navy jerseys, while basketball prefers orange. I'm sure there's more. kansascityjayhawk4
Kansas has red Alts on the way from Adidas, there is one hanging in the Hall of Fame at Allen Fieldhouse and it looks amazing. Brauny1280
Kansas actually has worn their third jersey this season versus Tennessee State. They brought them back a few years ago after Bill Self was hired and while they were still with Nike. They didn't wear them last year and just once this year. I wish they would've wore them at Colorado on Valentine's Day, that'd been pretty cool and would've fit in with all the NBA teams wearing red. Here are some pics from this year. I only know of the green and terrible black alts. Illinois, yeah, they do wear orange, but I feel like I see them in blue just as often. And OK State has orange basketball jerseys though, don't they? I guess it's just surprising altogether SU doesn't even have a blue option. I think we can all agree it would look great. However, what I would rather see (and I know I'm not alone) is a return to these beauties:(I would really appreciate if someone could find a better pic. I'm at a loss.) 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Oregon State has gone with orange, black, and white for several years.I wanted to list this comment under Discrimihater's, because of the reference to OK State. It's funny that two of the three OSU's, Oklahoma's and Oregon's, have the same colors. For a long time, however, Oregon State had the reverse color situation. When the basketball team was ranked in the top 5, under Ralph Miller in the early '80s, they wore orange, while the football team wore black.
