Roger Clemente
Why don't they just change their name to the Cleveland Wahoos? They can keep the logo, but because it would no longer be an "Indian", it's no longer offensive.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. jkrdevil
I think that the Indian logo is offensive to left handers. I dont say ditch the logo, but at least make it less offensive to those of us who use the south paw. He is clearly Right handed though.

rmered
Maybe they could keep the Indians name, but change the reference to the people of India. 7-11 might come good with some sponsorship. The secondary could be a plate of Rogan Josh, or a vindaloo. Coast2CoastAM2006
get rid of Wahoo ....okay but not the name Indians ...what is wrong with the name Indians it is not like the Redskins. So bring out the cursive I and bag Wahoo but don't get rid of the Indians name in favor of a stupid ass generic name as the Wildcats. the school i went to team name was "indians" but after pressure by local native american groups, it was changed to "wildcats". i would never want to see the Cleveland Indians to change names. it would be like watching an expansion team. Spoilers!
BBM
Indians? Indianapolis? a CJ of some sort? It's unclear. You don't know that's a scriptive capital I? Did you ever go to third grade? I don't have a problem with the logo, but then agian I'm not Native American. But I'm very offended by this old Knicks logo:Just kidding.
jab8281965
I believe this may be the offending logo in question ... The "anti-semitic" reference is that during the 1930s and 1940s in Nazi Germany the Nazi Propoganda paper Der Sturmer (and other Nazi printed medium) used caricatures of jews which bore a minor resemblance to the Indian logo above. The features were the elongated nose, the "beady" eyes, etc.As a Jew, I'm not offended by Chief Wahoo as an antisemitic symbol, now we can discuss whether Native Americans would be offended, but that's another debate. I guess the Nazi were too busy building a war machine to hire a cartoonist. They actually had to take an American baseball team logo and modify it. Thank god those bastards never found any images of the Phillie Phanatic, WE NEVER WOULD HAVE STOPPED THEM!
winghaz
I like Chief Wahoo. To me it says Cleveland Indians. But if I were an American Indian, I'd be offended.I'm lucky, being Norwegian American. We have that bold Minnesota Viking logo to look up to. That logo makes you proud to be a Norwegian and proud to be a Vikings fan.American Indians really do deserve the same.
