MetropolisPt31
The A's are also sporting green stirrups over yellow socks. They look quite neato, if you ask me.
Stampman
Peas and carrots game?Good line. Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
IronChefShark
and they also bust out the matching pants as well. thank god they arent skin tight like they were back in 82.the Giants hat has an orange bill but it has the current SF on it and no MLB logo on the back, and the jerseys have the current name and number font on them.the jerseys also have the 25th anniversary patch on them:the A's are wearing thier current home hats. brinkeguthrie
they really look cool. the great thing about having two teams is I can watch the game from two different channels, one with Giants announcers and one with the A's. I would take one of the orange retros in a heartbeat.PS;WHY DOES FELIPE PUT THIS GUY BENITEZ IN? EVERY GAME HE BLOWS THE SAVE. I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. CUT HIM NOW. I AM BEGGING YOU. Sodboy13
You know, not bad. In fact, pleasing, in some disturbing sense. And bonus points to those who went all-out, broke out the stirrups, and hiked up their pants. Good show. NDwas
Ruined. Why are the Giants wearing retros with their current numbers? That's pathetic. Tomorrow's just your future yesterday.

NDwas
WHY DOES FELIPE PUT THIS GUY BENITEZ IN? EVERY GAME HE BLOWS THE SAVE. I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. CUT HIM NOW. I AM BEGGING YOU.Listen, I'm an Orioles fan. I watched Armando Benitez zip through the Baltimore farm system. I saw Armando Benitez blow more than a fair share of saves. I saw Armando Benitez blow the 1996 Championship Series against the Yankees. I was one of the 49,075 fans who sat in shock after Game Six of the 1997 ALCS when Armando Benitez gave up a solo home run in the top of the eleventh inning to Tony Fernandez - the same game, I might add, Mike Mussina threw an eight-inning, one-hit, ten-strikeout, scoreless masterpiece against the Indians. So I know Armando Benitez. And I hate Armando Benitez more than anything. But I gotta give him some credit - he did single-handedly ruin any chance the Orioles had of making the World Series in the 1990's. Tomorrow's just your future yesterday. alwaysr92
I think the classic jerseys, with the color brings a nice fresh look to the game nowadays, with all jerseys now either white, black, or gray, its good to see some jerseys actually have sum life to em, even if their just for a throwback night. See Red
I wish I had the chance to watch this game. I think that both teams look great, personally. Something about those A's unis... I love 'em.

I am an A's fan as well as a Giants fan, but skew more towards the Giants. It's hard to watch this series when they play as I can't pull against either team. The A's have the better team, clearly. But this guy is an arsonist. Just terrible. How can they run him out there? He can't GET ANYONE OUT. Last time I checked, that ability was KEY TO BEING A CLOSER.I still remember that home run in the 9th a few weeks back..now this.Maybe Rob Nen's shoulder is better. leedsunited
Nice. I missed the old orange giants jerseys with the script lettering. And the Oakland green pullovers are classier than I thought they would be.
oddball
Ruined. Why are the Giants wearing retros with their current numbers? That's pathetic. Because that was the number font they used on those uniforms! Actually the A's were wearing the '83 road uniform as I looked it up in Mark Okkonen's book. If they were wearing '82 it'd have "A's" on the left chest and they'd be wearing white pants.
brinkeguthrie
BOOM. Bottom of the 9th, Giants get a man on. They walk Bonds to get to Durham. Two men on, Durham bombs one into the stands. Game over.THIS attones for last night's Benetiz debacle. Partially.
