Brendan
after being a backup last year and doing horrible 2 years before that, Jeff Garcia has played fantastic has led the eagles to the playoffs. so do you think he should win comeback player of the year, or has he played to little. Hat Boy
I am not sure what the official criteria is for the "Comeback player of the year" award, but I think it has to do with overcoming injury. Last year, Garcia played poorly for a horrible team. Now he is playing well for a good team. I don't see that as "coming back" from anything.I think Carson Palmer will win the award. His career was in jeopardy from that knee injury and now he is a Pro Bowl player.
lilgump
comeback player drew brees, dolphins didnt want him for one reason, surgery on his shoulder. Good call saints, bad call dolphins. The World Basketball Championship, the Davis Cup, Ryder Cup, Iraq: Every day there's further proof that we, as a nation, are not very good at international competition. Kitna won it in 2003, and other than the fact that they went from 2-14 to 8-8, he didn't improve much figuring that he only played 14 games in 2002.My CPOTY has to be Marc Bulger. Save the slugalo. nyk
Chad Pennington is my come back player. To have that injury last season and to have the surgery he had and to progress this well is spectacular, alot and i mean ALOT of QBs dont have that surgery and do that well. Also to have 2 QBs with starting potential looking over ya shoulder cause people dont think u will make it through a whole season cause you have that reputation and to succeed. To have a team with a rookie young head coach, a bunch of players that hardly anyone outside NY knows and predicted not to win more than 4 games. Chad overcame all of this and is on the verge of taking the Jets to the playoff. NO ONE expected that. He face the most obversity and overcame every obstical that came his way.*Chad Pennington, QB of the NY JETS, for Comback Player of the Year*-Chad approves this message. See Red
I have to go with Drew Brees. His shoulder scared off a lot of teams, even when the doctor who operated on it told these teams he couldn't have done a better job on it. A torn labrum and a partially torn rotator cuff in the final week of last season, and the next season he's an MVP candidate. He has to be the comeback player of the year. Jeff Garcia is nice but he's done it for five starts.

DEAD!
Garcia wouldn't be a bad choice for comeback player of the year considering having been in Cleveland and Detroit I saw, I came, I left.
baseballking99
I think Pennington or Garcia deserve it the most.Palmer and Brees I don't feel apply(Even though I know everyone is gonna disagree with me) because they were good at the end of last year and and good at the beginning of this year so the didn't really come back from anything on the field.
