Well more bad PR for the NFL, this may shed more light on why the Titans let him go after he gained 1200 yards last season after a 4 game suspension for anothe drug policy violation.

Report: Titans loaned Henry money for child support Tennessean Staff Reports

The Titans had no comment today on a report that they loaned former running back Travis Henry $9,800 for child support payments.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Henry, 28, fell behind on support payments for a child in DeKalb County, Ga., to Jameshia Beacham, 29, that were mandated by a previous order. Threatened with jail, he borrowed the money from the Titans to pay the bill, according to court records.

The paper reported that Henry, 28, has fathered nine children by nine women in at least four Southern states and has been ordered to provide child support for seven of them, according to court records involving the child living in DeKalb County.

....

Seeliger wrote that Henry displayed "bad judgment in his spending habits," dropping $100,000 for a car and $146,000 for jewelry.

....

"I know these are a lot of kids, and there might be some questions about it," Edlin said, "but he's a really committed father."

Not if he makes that much money and still fell behind on his child support.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

Now that's commitment.

Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
