FiddySicks
So the MLB shop is selling a bunch of old caps with past world series logos stitched onto the side, but the thing that intrigues me the most is'nt the world series patches (Which many of these hats never had), it's the selection of the throwback caps in the 59Fifty style. I think i may have to snag one or two of em. check em outEDIT: of course their's some pretty obvious errors, so beware. Cujo
No surprise here, the 1908 Cubs aren't featured in the series.I did find a sick vintage hat I think Ima pick up while I was browsing, so props to Bufcan.

BadSeed84
Is it me or does the KC on that hat look a tad small? I also thought the same thing for detroit's 1984 hat. Also, boo @ now phillies 1980 hat.
larrypep
Why couldn't they have made the Royals hat with the white button on top? I mean, come on, all they had to do was take current production caps and slap the logo on the side, how hard could that be?

The Royals were wearing gray underbills during the World Series. "If things have gone wrong, I'm talking to myself, and you've got a wet towel wrapped around your head." Blackjack76
That hat should not have been made; Worrell's foot was on the m*****f***ing bag!!!!!(Yes, I am from St. Louis, why do you ask?)
CC97
That hat should not have been made; Worrell's foot was on the m*****f***ing bag!!!!!(Yes, I am from St. Louis, why do you ask?)Worrell's foot be damned, the Royals had already made the World Series at that point. That hat should not have been made because if MLB kept to their best 3 of 5 LCS format that they had been using for the previous 16 seasons, it would have been the Jays taking on the Cardinals in that series --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net Β "The Mothership" β’ News β’ Facebook β’ X/Twitter β’ Instagram
AHcreative
That hat should not have been made; Worrell's foot was on the m*****f***ing bag!!!!!(Yes, I am from St. Louis, why do you ask?)Wasn't alive to see it, but I've seen replay after replay, and my dad talks about it seldom--whever we're on the subject of the Cards and the World Series. I agree, We should have 11 Championship titles as of today.
Cardsfan124
enough said, but lets not forget porter droping the foul ball and the wild pitch before the royals won the game
Ez Street
Bad calls are made, the fact that SOME cannot move on is purely puzzling. You guys have won a lot of World Series, but yet that one always gets the most reaction. But it really is sad that after almost 23 years, it's still a sore subject.Funny note for myself, when I toured Busch Stadium last Septemeber they talked about each suite having a theme of each world series victory. They "apologized" for not having the 2006 World Series suite not done yet.I thought to myself...where is the 1985 suite?I love you Cards fans. @DavidStreeter
Cardsfan124
cards fell after that point in the game, if Porter catches a routine foul ball, and doesn't let a wild pitch by its probably a different story. And game 7 in '85, well thats just forgettable lol
STL FANATIC
Might sting more if I was around to see it, but I'll never dwell on that one.If I fuss at Cubs fans for not recognizing that a lot more happened in 2003 than Bartman grabbing a ball that Moises Alou MIGHT have (probably not) caught, how can I fuss about that. It's probably the most awful call of any significance I've ever seen, but they do happen. The Cards fell apart after that, and that can't happen.Herzog was a great manager, but that's a point I'll always bring up when the La Russa haters tout Whitey over TLR. Tony never allows his team to have excuses. In Game 2 of the 2006 World Series when Kenny Rogers had a pretty obvious and probably illegal substance on his hand, Tony never pushed for his ejection. The Cardinals lost the game. But Tony wasn't gonna make any issue out of that at all. He wasn't gonna let his team be distracted by something that could serve as an excuse, everyone moved on, and the Cardinals won the next three. That's how it's gotta be handled. The Cardinals should have won that World Series 1985. If the right call is made, there's very little chance they don't. But bad calls happen and they still just needed to get a couple of outs. It was what it was.And anyways, while it did take the Cardinals a while to finally get their next World Series victory, the Royals haven't even seen the playoffs since that fateful World Series. Chazberg
Those 1940's Cards hats are tight. I always liked them in navy with a red bill, wish they'd wear that home alt. cap more... charles-noerenberg.com
