Yeah, every time I see the Jays in anything other then their train-wreck uniforms, I'm reminded of how much I miss blue.

Same here. I don't mind the introduction of black and gray -- or is it "grey" in Canada? -- nor the elimination of red. Blue jays, the birds, are all about black and gray ... and blue:

A few teams have recently shown that light blue and black can work well as team colors. I think the independent St. Paul Saints are the best example of how blue and black can be used together:

The Jays uniforms are a complete disaster, but a disaster that could easily be solved with the reintroduction of royal blue as a primary color.

And personally, I'd like to see a cap logo that uses a blue jay tailfeather as the vertical element in a letter T:

But it all boils down to putting the blue back in the Blue Jays.

Not bad. So long as the proportions were kept roughly as in that picture, I'd have no problem with black. My issue is that black dominates the Jays' scheme to the exclusion of blue.

That's a really interesting idea. Gorgeous feather, instantly recognizable.

So for some strange reason the Cubs are wearing them tonight vs the Giants in San Fran. They actually look awesome with the cubs road unis. Not sure if the Giants are wearing them tonight though, I haven't seen them yet.

EDIT: Yup, they are. Lucky they're navy, so it's hard to really notice.

I noticed right away. Just got home and turned the TV on mid-inning and I said to myself, "Wow, I need to adjust the color on this TV because the Giants caps look blue." You know, since it's July 2 and all, it couldn't be those "special" July 4 caps. Honestly didn't cross my mind, despite my earlier "outrage."

But then I saw the Cubs in the field and it was immediately noticeable that the red bill was absent. I'm all for the Cubs returning to all-blue caps on the road, but I'd prefer it be the correct blue. That said, these will look better with the gray roads than with the blue alts, which will deliver the reverse effect of the old navy BPs with royal blue helmets.

Makes no sense.

During the Cubs game, they said that the Giants were honoring the military tonight, so that may be why they were wearing the red, white, and blue hats tonight. The Giants honored the military by dressing their mascot in camoflauge and singing "God Bless America".

I know if I were enlisted in the Armed Forces, I would be honored to know that the Giants decked out a stuffed walrus in camo and had him sing God Bless America as a tribute to my services.

Certainly makes me feel special about serving. (shudders)

Though those Cubbies hats look pretty sweet.

The Best Damn Sports Show crew had on the caps during last night's show. They repeated the line about "a portion of the proceeds".

Each of them had on a different cap. Cleveland fan Chris Rose wore the Patriot Wahoo Indians cap.

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!

Now that's how the Blue Jays logo and color scheme should look like.Beautiful picture, beautiful bird!

Mindless repeating of a press release, without any critical thought whatsoever?

On "The Best Damn Sports Show Ever"?

Surely not.

On a Rubert Murdock owned media outlet? No way, Jose... they are all fair and balanced...
