Yeah, they will be scary this year, as I thought they would be much better last year. I really have no idea what is gonna happen in this division. The Twins did much better last year than I thought, is it gonna be the same this year? Do the White Sox do as well as they get older? The Indians have the talent to make a run, and the Royals are considerably better than what they have been.

I don't see how the Sox are getting any older - if anything, they're getting younger. There's a good chance our starting 3B will be a 19 year old, Javier Vazquez and Jose Contreras are being replaced by young pitchers out of the minor leagues, our 2B is probably going to be Chris Getz, another youngster out of Charlotte and we'll be using two 25 year olds (I think younger, even) as our backup catchers; replacing Toby Hall. I'm not saying we're a better team, but we're certainly not an older team.

As of right now (changes expected after offseason is final and spring training starts)

AL EAST:

Rays

Red Sox

Yankees

Orioles

Blue Jays

I honestly think the Rays still have the best team with the Red Sox close behind. The Yankees aren't far behind, but I just don't think it's going to work for them for some reason. Burnett is no sure thing, and most of the rest of their team is fairly old and past their prime.

AL CENTRAL:

Twins

Indians

Royals

Tigers

White Sox

I don't want to get too hyped about the Twins cuz they generally finish the opposite of expected. WATCH OUT FOR THE ROYALS!!! They have made some pretty good moves this offseason and they have a good manager. White Sox, well, I just don't like you. :P I also think they have hurt their team more than improved it.

AL WEST:

Angels

A's

Rangers

Mariners

Angels have too much pitching not to win the division. A's will make a strong case for Wild Card, but not enough pitching will cause them to fall short. Rangers, not enough pitching. Mariners, ugly bad.

NL EAST:

Mets

Phillies

Braves

Marlins

Nationals

The Mets have improved their bullpen so much that they should win at least ten more games than last year. Phillies very close behind, will finish no more than 3 games back of the Mets. Natinoals in the cellar unless they sign Manny.

NL CENTRAL:

Cubs

Astros

Cardinals

Brewers

Reds

Pirates

Cubs have great pitching mixed with great hitting, how are they not going to win theis division unless they run into a billion injuries. No one will fall even close to the Cubs or the Wild Card, the rest of this division will be pretty close to eachother.

NL WEST:

Dodgers

Diamondbacks

Rockies

Giants

Padres

This is providing the Dodgers sign Manny. If they don't I give the nod to the DBacks.

Playoffs to come...

Well, we don't like you either! :P

I don't think I can disagree with your statement, though. I like the fact that Kenny Williams wants to make the team younger and faster, but at this point we're in need of two starting pitchers, a center fielder and a second baseman. We can certainly fill those holes with prospects, but that wouldn't really make the team any better.

You're right, whenever I think of them though, I tend to think of Thome, Konerko and AJ. My bad.

AL EAST

Rays- Who else would I pick?

Red Sox- They're always there.

Yankees- No team chemistry bites them in the ass.

Blue Jays- They'll be right behind the Yanks.

O's- In a few years, they'll be at the top.

AL Central

Tigers- Thanks to Gary, I think the Tigers will be good.

Twins- As long as Mauer, and Morneau stay healthy

White Sox- .500 season

Mariners- psh.

NL East

Phillies- Another good year.

Mets- Another good division race, but MISS the playoffs

Marlins- Stay within 10 games throughout

NL Central

Cubs- Always near the top

Cardinals- Back, and forth with the Cubs, losing out in the end.

Brewers- Struggle without CC

'Stros- under 500

Buccos- Surprise some people, and stick with the 'stros

Reds- Close behind to the Pirates

NL West

D-Backs- Gary changed my mind.

Predictions for 2009:

Cliff Lee will return to being Cliff Lee

Matt Wieters will be this year's top rookie...provided the O's actually call him up

Albert Pujols is going to be outed for using performance enhancing drugs

The Orioles, Nationals, Royals, and Pirates will still suck

Barry Zito can't possibly be that bad again

Randy Johnson gets 305th win, then his arm will completely fall off
