FiddySicks
I remember them making a pretty big deal about him winning his first Super Bowl ring to go along with all of his AFC Championship rings he won with the Bills. I wasn't quite sure if he was on the second of those Packers Super Bowl teams though. sports-rings.com
His teammate, Mike Lodish has 4 bills afc rings from 1990 - 1994, and then two winning super bowl rings from Denver, 1997 and 1998 .

Gothamite
Another cool picture anyone guess who this is?The Packer hof ring (on the pointer finger) gives it away. When that photo was first released a couple years ago, that one was identified as a 1962 World Championship ring. But they didn't give out rings that season - players and executives alike got wristwatches instead. Quote The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. Gothamite
True, but not a Pro Football HoF ring - a Packers Hall of Fame ring. Hopefully he'll get to add a Canton ring eventually. dralec
So let me get this straight, Ravens hand out 500+ rings to all the employees and their grandmothers and now NFL has to be notified every time someone loses a ring, a ring gets stolen, etc.... There are probably over 20,000 super bowl and conference championship rings handed out so far, NFL would need a full time department handling every request coming in. I know teams have to approve making replacement rings but its hard to believe NFL has to give permission also.Players can order additional rings made for their friends, family, agents, etc, in some instances it is the exact same ring as they got so I am not sure if in fact NFL needs to approve making new rings. ridenlow71
I think teams and the nfl are trying to crack down on people getting extra rings and then having those ring "dissappear" Quote Part owner in the Green Bay Packers
sports-rings.com
So let me get this straight, Ravens hand out 500+ rings to all the employees and their grandmothers and now NFL has to be notifiedI don't know much but here is what I do know. The ring company is not allowed to remake a ring without permission from the team. The team will usually not make a ring without a police report. In this case, the team has a heart and this is a great example of a legitimate reason to have a ring remade. Each team does have at least one full-time employee that deals with players and former players on these matters (and many other matters too).Last, it was inaccurately reported in some stories that the woman gets the ring back if found. Actually the insurance company now owns it since they already paid on the claim, otherwise the woman would now have two rings!Good luck having someone give the ring to an insurance company. I wonder if the insurance company would pay and send down a diver, if the ring was lost during docking, it may not be too hard to find. dralec
I just think it is ridiculous that Ravens gave out so many super bowl rings, all identical to the one players received. I was reading an article that even a 23 years old unpaid accounting intern got the same ring as Ray Lewis did, that I think is just flat out wrong. We see so many Heat rings being sold on ebay, but I have yet to see any of the 15 players ring (one player sold the ring in a bankruptcy case for 28K). Most organizations have 3-4 different ring levels which I think is the right thing to do.I remember back in 2005 I was living in Tampa and there was a guy at a local bar that every time I saw him he was trying to sell his Tampa Bay Stanly Cup staff ring. It was still a pretty impressive ring, similar to players, about 15% smaller, 10K instead of 14 K and had less diamonds than players did. He was a part time employee and made less that 9K a year, yet he ended up selling the ring for 10K and used to joke about if they won every year he can double his salary.Having said that, Heat are getting their rings in 5 days and I am sure with in a few weeks we are going to see the none gold with CZ rings on ebay. Also Jostens has at least 20 salesman "Sample" rings made, what about those, most of the time they end out being sold on ebay or other auction sites. All I am saying is that when you start handing out hundreds of rings to none players it is going to be very hard to keep track of them. sports-rings.com
Also Jostens has at least 20 salesman "Sample" rings made, what about those, most of the time they end out being sold on ebay or other auction sites. In the good old days, when champiopnship rings were large but not huge, salesman samples were loaned or sold to the ring sales people. As they have gotten much bigger this does not happen anymore. As a result, with Super bowl rings, a real salesman sample of the last 15 years can go for a fortune. They are extremely rare. You can see a real salesman sample ring at the super bowl NFL experience, or at the Pro Football HOF, or at the NFL headquarters if you get invited up there. But there are so few of them made now."Salesman sample" or "sample" has been used to describe ring copies that are not real salesman samples but copies. The descriptions can be found in some auction houses.I would say about 95% of the Yankee "salesman sample" rings I see on ebay are not real (100% from 1996 and later, and 100% from 1964 and earlier). There are some real super bowl salesman samples on ebay, but beware, Irv Learner (rings*things) makes many of them and sells them. Many of the Colts 1971 rings are fake.
