ESTONES6
Not sure if this belongs here, or the NBA off season thread. I put it here because it will be a modified logo and uniforms, obviously. So, if it needs to be moved... please.CLEVELAND -- A minor league baseball team is taking a swing at signing LeBron James. The Lake Erie Crushers plan to offer James a maximum contract under Frontier League rules on "Keep LBJ in the C-L-E Night" next week. The team said the contract is worth $1,600 a month and will include a host family so the NBA superstar won't have the "stress of a potential commute" from Akron. Also available will be a luxury suite. The Crushers will wear Cavaliers-themed jerseys June 30 and each player will wear No. 6 to honor James' switch from No. 23. The team is renaming its park LeBron James Field at All Pro Freight Stadium for the game. Anyone named LeBron gets free tickets.James becomes a free agent the next day.Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5312220 SAINT IGNATIUS WILDCATS | CLEVELAND BROWNS | CLEVELAND CAVALIERS | CLEVELAND INDIANS | THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
keynote
Of course, given that the Cavs have a ridiculous number of different unis, we *still* have no idea what these "Cavaliers-themed jerseys" will look like.

And who knows, if the King does decided to stay in his Land of Cleve - maybe these kids will feel like they played a part in it. Good luck guys. infrared41
This isn't exactly on topic but...my TV station did a story on the Crushers last week so I tagged along to check out the stadium etc. I gotta say the Crushers do a great job. Their park is incredible, the baseball wasn't bad at all, and the atmosphere is really cool. For our Cleveland area members, if you haven't checked out the Crushers you really should. It's a great deal and a helluva lot of fun. On topic, all this nonsense designed to "keep LeBron" is just embarrassing. Not just with the stuff like what the Crushers are doing but all of it. It's like we have no pride around here.

Everyone's throwing together some level of "campaign" for LeBron. It's happened in New York, there are ads in Chicago. It's not like Cleveland's the only city doing these.Plus, it's the minor leagues. Get over it.

If the Lake Erie Crushers want to draw attention and a big crowd for this game, why would you let people named Lebron in for free unless Lebron James himself shows up that is a pretty empty offering. They should have announced anyone named Lebron or named JAMES gets in free. Then some folks will actually get to attend the game for free.

ESTONES6
A couple things:1.) Bone Thugs own.2.) I am sick of kissing LeBron's ass.3.) I think Miami has done more to retain Wade.4.) I think the New York's plea with all the stars and planes and dinners and jets is worse, as well.I will always root for LeBron as long as he has Cleveland on his chest... but I am sick of him being a premadona. He talks about how much he wants to win MULTIPLE championships... yet he spends chunks of his off season filming rap videos, promoting movies, and other non-basketball related activities.Yes he puts in time to work on his jump shot... but when you jump shot is as bad as LeBrons, you think he would spend more time trying to get better... like that old adage: "practice what you preach." I wonder what Jordan, Bird, Magic were doing in the off season? elsephen
I hope he goes to NY. So their struggles can continue, and maybe... just maybe ESPN will talk about something other than Lebron while he's being irrelevant to whatever's happening in sports. Like the postseason.
