That was the worst disallowed goal call I've ever seen, the guy who made the call knows it and it was the difference in the game. The third jerseys really are cursed. They outshot dallas by 13, got a good goal called back, couldn't bury any of their chances, and lost 2-1. Dallas was the gooniest team I've seen in person in a long time and I can't help but feel cheated. I hate when the officials affect the outcome like they did tonight.

So for the first time since February 2008 the Thrashers are leading the SE Division. AWESOME!

You can say it may have started with getting rid of Kovalchuk but it's looking more and more that aquiring Ladd and Big Bad Buff were the best pick ups all summer.

One of the Bay guys here put forth a pretty good proposal for how the Sharks could stage a Winter Classic up at Lake Tahoe with a bunch of temporary bleachers and stuff. That would be something I'd get behind. It might've been IronChefShark, but then again I think I was allowed to reply and say I liked it, so strike that.

And it's an idea that is getting closer to fruition every day. Squaw Valley, the site of the 1960 winter olympics, was just sold and the new owners are going to do over $100 million in renovations within the next decade in hopes of getting the bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics. A Sharks Kings game with a view of Lake Tahoe would easily be the coolest thing I've ever seen, and I'd break my bank to get tickets. And even though it's cold and snowy on January 1st (Truckee, CA gets the largest annual snowfall of any city in the country) , it's west coast snow. Watching an outdoor game in Boston, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, or Buffalo sounds absolutely awful to me because of how inhumanely cold it gets. It usually hovers around the high 30s that time of year in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

What amazes me the most from the loss to the B's, is that Caps had a team record 26 shots on net in the third period alone.

This team needs to show up at the start of the first period and continue to play the entire 60 minutes, it cannot afford to only start playing the game in the third!

Maybe they'll have better chances against the Sens tonight. :upside:

Tim Thomas kept the Bruins in hit the whole night. He's been playing out of his mind lately.

1. The fact that the Caps can lose 8 straight and then with one win regain the lead in the Southeast proves how bad a division it is.

2. Nice to know the Sens are good for something.

....or it shows just how great a start Washington had. Before their skid, the Capitals were 18-6-2.

The Southeast Division currently has 4 teams in the top-9 in the Eastern Conference standings.

^This. The Southeast has greatly improved, and even though I think Atlanta has clinched the season series against us, its great to have a competitive Southeast. Atlanta and Tampa are doing it the right way. Carolina is always going to be a fit to put away even though Ward is far from his best days. Florida is...well...4/5 is pretty good right?

Liar! Dover Delaware buddy! It is a little over 2 hours away.

OK 2 hours, my point stands. :P I knew about Dover, and Richmond, both are pretty good distances unlike the other Southern teams (although theres not one close to Tampa either!)

Actually, you're both wrong. Richmond is only an hour and a half away!
