hockey week Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 It could be a 3rd jersey logo?Whenever a team rebrands (which is what's happening, when you get right down to it), they never introduce a third right away because it would dilute the new brand. Capitals, Ducks, Lightning, etc, whenever they made a new logo, they only had a home and road. Thirds come later (unlike on the concepts board) I'll respect any opinion that you can defend. Then again it probably is a rush job given they probably weren't originally planning on calling the team the Jets. Now granted given they almost bought the old Jets (Coyotes) and given the sentimental toward the Jets in Winnipeg perhaps they should have had a prepared Jets plan in place. Probably because it's over a maple leaf and I'm thinking of Canadian imagery.Boy, that shoulder logo is terrible. The worst part is that the stem of the maple leaf is positioned like an apostrophe, which will embolden idiots in their belief that you need to use an apostrophe to pluralize a word.
