I'm trying to find a pic of the shorts. Anyone have a shot of it?

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

I love almost everything about this rebrand. The only thing I don't care for is the new third logo. The ball/Monument one. It's just not my cup of tea.

Really? I think it is the best part. I like the subtle "W" that they created at the top.

That W is very clever

Go A's!

Yes. It clashes with the rest of the look. First off, it uses silver which, as far as I can tell, is absent from the rest of the identity. Secondly it's a very curvy mark with a downward to up perspective. Meanwhile the new wordmark, striping, and dc logo are all rendered in straight, bold lines that use a head on perspective. The ball/Monument logo looks like it was designed apart from everything else.

Couldn't agree more. It's not a bad mark, but it's jarring with the rest of the identity. Particularly when you take the "primary" out of the equation, which I presume is exactly what the Wizards will do.

You are right, but at the same time, it is the only thing they put any real thought into, IMO. The rest feels forced to me. I think the uniforms themselves are enough to pay homage to the past without shoe-horning the hand logo, or washington monument into the wordmarks.

All it would take to tie the elements together is for the wordmark to have a similar perspective, and slap it on the retro jersey. If they insist on incorporating the hand logo, they could have the ball lines match.

Definitely an upgrade from the old set. There are a few things that could be changed, like the side panel on the jerseys clash with the horizontal stripes, as does the number font, and the recolored primary looks bad, but other than that I really like them!

6873.gif13-3. 1st place in NFC West. 1 fumble away from Super Bowl 46.

1hrqvo4oaipg1j7eboaxh4bgu.gif. 40-26. Lost in Conference Semifinals

zroew6i4sougyzvje4p5vl1xr.gif34-36-12 80 Points. Painfully watching the rivals win the Cup.

2908.gif 28-26. 3 GB of AL East lead. Starting to turn around the season.

Definite upgrade. The only things I don't like are the recolored old Wizard logo and the fact that they still have the name "Wizards" instead of Bullets. The DC/hand logo is a nice retro-Bullets touch and the monument logo/uni wordmarks are very nice.

Well done, DC.

This another example of NBA team trashing their uniforms with retro look or changing logo that does not need improving at all,if it ain't broken don't try to fix it at all

But theirs was broken.

The numbers are outlined in silver, but that's about the only other piece of the identity that uses silver.

I think the jersey would look a lot better if the stripes on the jersey were the same color.

Was it ever. I've been waiting for this day since I first laid eyes on that horrid Wizards logo. Granted, the logo is still there, but it's likely going to be marginalized. Plus it doesn't look nearly as bad in red, white, and blue and paired with the new wordmark.

See, I disagree. Making the rest of the identity match the ball/Monument logo isn't the direction I want to see them go in, because it's an aesthetic I don't care for. I like the bold, straight aesthetic that they went with for the majority of the look.

Ball/monument logo aside, this is one of my favourite looks in the NBA.

Except their old (or current) identity was horrible.

Nice. Although I still don't like the piping on the shorts. But the "hidden W's" are a nice touch

The piping on the shorts sort of remind me of these old Bullets uniforms:

FWIW, I loved those old racing stripe uniforms.
