:censored:

Bolton have five very winnable matches left, including one at Villa on the 24th.

Wigan are only a point behind AVFC and will get at least one more win over Wolves, and with the way they're playing right now, they could even have Newcastle's number.

Blackburn's gonna need a win over Chelsea or Spurs in addition to getting results with Norwich and Wigan.

QPR's gonna have a really hard time, but if they can get one win over Spurs, Chelsea, or City (who may very well be playing for nothing) and the win over Stoke, they'll be at 37.

Wolves are :censored:ed. ^_^

But seriously, :censored:ing United and Arsenal have brought Villa right back into the relegation scrap.

If ole Cheski can can hang on here. I think both Real Madrid and Barca win back at home, and extra time will be needed to decide who heads to Munich.

EDIT - What a finish at the Bridge! Chelsea hangs on. Up 1-0 heading to the Nou Camp.

After looking at the replay, I'm wondering why Messi didn't deflect Pedro's shot in, rather than he letting it go and hitting the post (which it did).

And what a miss by Busquets. A "Bill Buckner" moment in my books.

Remember, though, the only outcomes that force extra time are 2-1 Madrid and 1-0 Barça. Any other set of results means no ET.

Should be interesting to see the conclusion of this to say the least. Real Madrid's away goal is going to be huge when it's all set and done, I think. Barça's inability to get one could really hurt them, though.

To All:

May 13 will be EPL "Survival Sunday" in the US.

From the Press Release:

Every year, on the final day of England's Barclays Premier League season, all 20 teams from the world's top domestic soccer competition play each other in a frantic 10-match race for financial survival, hardware and European honors. This year, on May 13, for the first time in American television history, nine of those matches are being carried live simultaneously by one family of outlets.

Led by FX, Fox's fully-distributed cable powerhouse, FOX Sports Media Group (FSMG) networks SPEED, FSN, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Deportes, along with digital platforms FOXSoccer.com and FOX Soccer 2Go, are carrying all nine matches live on Sunday, May 13 at 10:00 AM ET. Pre-match coverage begins at 9:30 AM ET on all networks with the exception of SPEED, with all outlets carrying post-match coverage of this hallmark event. Known to soccer fans as "relegation Sunday" and dubbed Survival Sunday by FOX, this unprecedented programming strategy reaffirms FSMG's unparalleled commitment to provide the world's best international soccer competition.

"With so much at stake, there's nothing like the tension of the Premier League's final Sunday, and we hope to capture every minute we can using the considerable resources available to the FOX Sports Media Group, including SPEED and FUEL TV, unconventional outlets for soccer," said FSMG's Eric Shanks, Co-President and COO. "Our plan is to provide cut-ins and updates from matches as often as necessary, while never taking the viewer away from the game they're watching."

Survival Sunday matchups are listed below. Specific networks and digital platforms will be determined at a later date. ESPN will select one match from the schedule. All games begin at 10:00 AM ET.

MAY 13

Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers

Everton v Newcastle United

Manchester City v Queens Park Rangers

Sunderland v Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham

Norwich City v Aston Villa

West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal

A quick ready reckoner of what is on the line in the EPL and the top of the Championship today and this weekend.

EPL

  • Manchester United could move within a point of the EPL title with a win and a Man City defeat.
  • At the bottom of the table, Wolves will be relegated if they lose and QPR beat Spurs, and would be all but relegated, given a vastly inferior goal difference, if Bolton beat Swansea.

Championship

  • Reading willl be champions with a win, and Southampton failing to win, or drawing and the Saints losing
  • Southampton will be promoted with a win, or if West Ham fail to win.

Thanks to Chelsea/Arsenal drawing, and if QPR can handle Spurs plus Newcastle hold on against Stoke. One step closer to Europe for the Toon, and this would be Champions League ball too!!!!!
