pmoehrin
Giants just broke the cardinal rule of popping the cork early.http://espn.go.com/n...-team-sb-champsYou never call yourself World Champions while the other team still has a realistic chance much less before the game starts mistake or not. They were pick ever since the matchup was made clear, but after that I'm going with New England for the win.As far the Underwood cut goes its sucks for him, but I would take that as a sign that they expect Gronkowski to a be a go. There's no reason for a team like the Patriots who run that two Tight End set that much to have anymore then 4 wide outs on their roster. They could probably make due with three if they had to. The only reason Edelman is on the roster is in case Branch, Welker or Ochocinco gets hurt.Well, there was a commercial that aired in Boston telling fans to buy their Patriots Super Bowl champs gear today during the Celtic game, so I guess both teams are even in jumping the gun now That may be enought to balance out the scales. Although the question I have is was it IF the Patriots win the Super Bowl, because I was seeing alot of Giant commercials saying to come to Moddell's on Monday to pick up your NFC Champions gear if the Giants beat the 49ers. That's not the same thing.http://deadspin.com/...-in-new-englandAlright that's blatantly popping the cork early. Scales now balanced.
dfwabel
Feasibly, couldn't the Giants sign Underwood? He can't sign with a new team for 24 hours, just like any other regular season release. Which is why the release happened on Saturday night. Just tossing it out there-what are the CBA rules regarding PUP or IR'ing a player in the postseason and then cutting them in the offseason? You can put them on IR any time during the postseason, and that status is valid until the end of the season (or fiscal year).Correct, it is a NFL Constitution issue rather than a CBA issue. As for PUP, you cannot PUP a player midseason since that designation deals with not passing a physical at the start of the season.Hmm. Interesting. Makes you wonder why Belichick didn't just do that.Underwood was only on a one year contract. It makes total sense to release him since the team essentially has no contractual obligation to him. The team does not pay him now, the league pays him in the playoffs.
Fox
I don't think either case matters. It's really not "the team" jumping the gun, as much as it is, whoever's in charge of the Giants website and whoever decided to air that Pats commercial. Won't have any effect on the game. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. FiddySicks
Frankly, for as cool of an idea of going to the Super Bowl is, even if I had the money to go to a Super Bowl I still wouldn't. No game is worth $3,000 a ticket and $11 for a CAN of beer. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) tBBP
You don't want to know what they were charging for parking, then.Overall, the past two weekends have been mighty grand in the city of Indianapolis...and. luckily I got a front-row seat to most of the Super Bowl experience. I can most definitely say the city RAKED in terms of revenue. The place is already in the midst of a massive rebuilding initiative...having the Super Bowl there will only help that, if not go further (so long as the city's elected and appointed officials don't jack it up). *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

No game is worth $3,000 a ticket and $11 for a CAN of beer.I agree. I could have a pretty great time (as great? Probably not, but a great time nonetheless) time at a bar or friends house watching the game for way, way, way less than that. $3,000 is an awful lot to spend for what might not even be a competitive game. For the most part the games have been pretty good of late, but there's no guarantee you don't get a game like the Bucs/Raiders or Colts/Bears. I guarantee I have a better view of things sitting on my couch. I don't care if the Broncos are playing and I'm guaranteed the greatest game ever played... I wouldn't pay that much. BigMac12
When did New England revert back to the 4-3 defense? For much of the 2000's they were a 3-4 defense.
Magnus
Maybe it's just the song they were singing. Anything that just says "Amerrica! WE'RE NUMBER 1!11!!" just gives me an instinctual pang of negativity. I think it will until the country abandons its perceived position as "defender of the free world". See Red
I don't really see how the Patriots secondary can stop Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks without getting shredded by Eli's other targets. Hakeem Nicks didn't play in the regular season contest.
Kramerica Industries
Giants beat the Pats in October without Bradshaw or Nicks.Theoretically, those two should only help them in their second quest.EDIT - Red, nice to see we made the same observation at the same time. Kramerica Industries
WOW.Sure that's never been called for the first points of the Super Bowl before. And for New York's sake, they better hope this doesn't start a reversal of their wild card game.
