Blue Jays to change uniforms for next season

Having some problems landing the new hat. The "Lids" in Seattle all claim to get the hat in next week and the official site has most hat sizes on back order. Anyone know of a brick-and-mortar franchise that is definitely carrying it?

When you add it to your cart it says "in stock".

Just order it off of Lids.com and have it shipped to your local store. That's what I did with this and the Marlins new orange cap.

BTW, speaking of embroidery, anyone else notice the strange three layer embroidery the white part of the bird on the front logo has? Not sure if I like it or not yet. Third image down shows it fairly well.

So is it just me or does the bottom of the head pointing straight down not bother anyone? Do you think making it go to the right ala the original improves it (despite the shoddy paint job)? IMO its much more balanced and flows better.

@Whateverman42, I think your tweak to the Blue Jays logo is really good. I agree that the part pointing straight down in the 2012 logo doesn't look right.

Honestly, that's my favorite part of the new logo. The bottom going straight down balances it out really well. It looks great on the hat that way.

THIS one doesn't look right. That curve looks forced. The actual logo looks normal.

got my cap from Lids. Anyone got a "Made in USA" Jays hat? Mine is made in China and it doesn't have that "wool feel" as the made in USA caps.

I heard stores have been selling USA made hats in Ontario and some other places out east, but all the ones in BC seem to be made in China.

My girlfriend bought mine at the Jays Shop in Sears at the Eaton Centre in Toronto and it has "Made in China".

^Interesting point of note: the replicas have the logo as that iron-press smooth thing, but for the Flashback Friday replicas, the logo was embroidered.

They had the iron-press crap for the Flashback Fridays, too. They made the switch to that after they were out though, so for the first year or 2 it was embroidered.

Finally got my hat and jersey in the mail. My hat was made in USA and I am loving the new jersey. I was skeptical about the navy outline on the word-mark but it really isn't that bad on the actual jersey. see photo

That's looks superb!!

"Navy isn't that bad"? . . . I think the navy outline totally compliments the medium shade of blue inside, especially from a distance.

Real nice.

I'm so glad they went back to the original style, but without the white shield in the front of the cap.

I've never hated the navy outline on the 'TORONTO' script, although I guess I see why some do. Nice to see a road jersey ordered. The Jays Shop at Sears only had home and alternate jerseys hanging on the racks.

Did you get anybody's name and number on the back?
