Pics of yourself w/ sports titles

That's not exactly the story I've heard when I've been there. They're both the "real" cup; one is called the "presentation" cup, which is given out quickly and is likely to have more errors in it than the other. I forget the term they used for that one.

Of course, neither are the original cup; that's in the vault.

And while you can touch it, I made a point of not doing so. I'm weird that way.

Not 'till you win it, eh?

The Stingrays here in SC had the cup here one time when I was a STH back in 05 or 06. I took my pic with it, and I made sure I didn't touch it. It really creeps me out when people touch it. Like seriously, It makes my stomach turn to the point I have to walk away.

No offense, but that's pretty :censored:-ing weird. I have to ask, why would you share something like that about yourself? Again, I mean no offense, but I don't read that and think wow, this guy is one hardcore fan. I read it and I think wow, what's wrong with this guy? B)

I get not wanting to touch the Cup if you're an NHL player, or even an aspiring NHL player with a reasonable chance of making it. Then you really don't want to "touch it until you win it."

If you're just a fan who's never going to play in the NHL though? Touch away. I know I have.

Though it is a giant silver trophy, so I guess I can see the rationale behind not wanting to get it all fingerprint-y.

I don't have a problem with touching it, especially if you're a fan. But whenever someone drinks from it I cringe a little. Babies have gone to the bathroom in the Cup. I don't care how many times they clean it, no way I'd drink from that thing.

I'm never going to play in any professional sports leagues, you can bet your first born child I'm going to touch the leagues respective trophy.

Now if I'm playing beer league and there's a trophy or for instance I've been in a fantasy football league for years and refused to touch the trophy until we won this year. If I can win it, I won't touch it. But c'mon, Lord Stanley ain't calling my name any time soon.

My NHL aspirations went out the window the day I was born, never had a shot, so I'll touch Lord Stanley every chance I get!

A guy in line in front of me at the HOF asked if he could kiss it like the players do. The girl said no, only because it's unsanitary!

So I went to Fred & Steve's Steakhouse at Twin River casino in RI.

It is owned by former Bill/49er/Patriot Fred Smerlas and former Cowboy/Giant/Jet/Patriot Steve Diossie.

Over the bar, in a glass case is a replica Lombardi trophy.

DiOssie played on the SB 25 winning Giants.

Upon closer look, under the NFL shield it says

SB XXV

New York

Football Giants.

Anyone know if the real Giants Lombardis are engraved this way?

I could he wrong, but I dont think so. I've seen replicas for the Packers Steelers Super Bowl for sale that are as well engraved like that.
