Two things learned from Teh Twitters:

- Today is the 1-year anniversary of Torres' hit on Seabrook. I believe the traditional gift is banishment to the KHL.

- Allegedly, the Phoenx announcers have been saying that Torres need to "shake off" that hit and not let it worry him, because it was clean.

To refresh, Torres also concussed Seabrook last year. That cheapshotting, blackface-wearing piece of garbage is going to get the worst of it, and it's just going to demean the sport even more than it already has been in the last two weeks, and I won't even care anymore.

Coyotes fan thread:

Hossa just got rocked by Torres!!!! **** yeah!!!!
Rip marion hossa
Love it Torres!!!!!!
That's a clean hit.
May have left his feet a little, but otherwise that's just a typical solid, crushing Raffi Mother****ing Torres hit.
What an awesome, clean hit.
Live by the sword, die by the sword. The Hawks had to know it was coming back their way.
Hossa Dive! am i doing it right!?
Torres the human wrecking machine. Unlike chicago fans I will heed to nhl decisions

Hossa leaving UC in an ambulance.

More proof that nobody in Phoenix knows jack :censored: about hockey and how the game works.

That just leaves me glad an excellent announcer like Dave Strader is no longer wasted in Phoenix and is doing high-profile games on a weekly basis, and in fact is broadcasting opposite the Phoenix game tonight.

He deserves better than to be surrounded by ignorance.

NBC5 reporting no movement from Hossa when departing arena, may have fractured/broken vertebrae. Career is definitely in jeopardy. edit: obviously this is speculatory, and Hossa is totally wrapped up on that stretcher, but *shrug*

For what it's worth, per TSN:

Ambulance got police escort to hospital. When they were working on him at the UC they sequestered the media in the media room so no one could see what was going on.

2nd period's underway and finally the Blackhawks go on the power play.

Your statement is quite ignorant.

Matt McConnell is from Michigan, went to Michigan State, broadcasted Michigan State games along with numerous other leagues. (He was in Atlanta last year) He's actually pretty good. He hasn't been saying anything about the hit really, mostly because his counterpart Tyson Nash is the one saying it's clean. McConnell is staying mostly quiet while Nash is making those claims. Nash is usually pretty good (while being a dope a lot of the time), but when it has something controversial at all, he takes the Yotes side. Todd Walsh, their sideline guy and actually from Arizona, is very very good and he's taking the right approach. He's mostly reporting information, but he's reporting it in the way that it should be.
