Gothamite
Yep, they mis-colored the glove's "webbing". First time for on-field apparel. Guess I won't be buying one after all. BadSeed84
I dunno whether i'll get one or not, that white outline is so thick.I dont get why the blue P cant be the poofy part like how it was.

maz
I don't understand how the Braves' realistic depiction of a Native American is racist but the 50's caricature of one they use in Cleveland is okay.

If the braves wanted to do that they should've use the Hank Aaron 'a'.
BadSeed84
Its annoying how it seems like no matter the logo there has to be a outline. Some teams have the normal style of poofiness.

Sport
I dunno whether i'll get one or not, that white outline is so thick.I dont get why the blue P cant be the poofy part like how it was.I prefer the new hat in this case, though I'm not a fan of every team's puff embroidery treatment. If you look at the old hat from an angle like we are in this picture then the blue P stands out farther than the white and in your eye directly touches the red background. That's not how the logo is supposed to appear. On the new hat no matter where you're looking from you'll always see the white outline separating the blue letter from the red background. Now this is one of the few cases where they got it right. Some of these BP caps are not long for this world. Can't wait to wax nostalgic on here in ten years about these things. FiddySicks
I don't mind the way they did embroidery on the new BP caps. I actually think it's kind of cool that they used the new material in the logos. I can't wait to get a Giants and A's one. I went by both of their Spring Training stadiums today in hope that they were already selling them, but they weren't. njmeadowlanders
Why is it important for that d to be lower-case?umm because it's how you spell his name...That just looks wrong. I know it's done out of necessity (there's no lower-case D in the lettering kit), but I'd rather they have used a capital D and kludge his name a little than be lazy like that.worth noting that the pirates do the same with his brother's jersey as well.I wonder what they'll end up doing when Matt den Dekker gets called up for real. This was spring training last season:
soxkrazy
Any idea if the new BP caps will have the sizing inconsistencies that plague the game 59FIFTYs? I'm hoping that the new material might lead to a more standard fit. These will likely have inconsistencies due to the fact they are made in China. These BPs appear to have the same oversized crowns the last three years' Stars & Stripes caps have had. I had to buy a full size down on all of those. In which case, yeah - a gradual "phasing out" is unfortunately about all that can be hoped for. BBTV
I think the phasing out would go better if they compromised and went with a C-Feather logo like some of the concepts here instead of the cursive I, unless they're trying to get away from all NA imagery regardless of what it is. I had to buy a full size down on all of those. While I agree that the Chinese made caps are inferior to the US made ones in nearly every way, the location of where they're made has very little to do with the sizing inconsistencies. In fact, as someone who owns hundreds of caps and works at Lids, I even find the Chinese made caps to be more consistent in terms of sizing than the US made ones. The problem with the sizing is mostly to do with the fact that all of these caps are hand made. dsaline97
Weird that Bautista has the old Blue Jay logo on his shirt.I noticed that too. Maybe a sign of a throwback? That would be pointless, since their new set is essentially a modernized throwback.
