HedleyLamarr
So Samardzija is hanging out in the National League dugout for the game, wearing a generic jersey and generic All-Star hat.I assume he's doing the customary clapping and such for his teammates, but I wonder how openly he's cheering for the American League to win..... zpqmaowl
He put on an A's jacket, at least. the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall

FiddySicks
Holy back pedal, Wainwright. I can't wait till this Jeter slob knobbery is over for good next season. AnythingChicago
Here's to hoping the Cardinals lose in the World Series due to some freak occurrence that is a direct result of the NL's lack of home field of advantage.
sportstar1212
What I got from Wainwright's comment was "I'll give him a chance, if he hits it, he hits it. But I regret the result of that".

Trout has won it (along with a Chevy Corvette Stingray).Watch, though, as Jeter's slob of fanboys are going to proclaim that he got screwed out of the All-Star MVP. Unocal
Cujo: Any combination of Trout/Miggy/Jeter. Turns out Cabrera basically got squat despite breaking the game open on one swing.

TheGiantsFan
Watching this All-Star Game has gotten me to reach the conclusion that FOX Sports is just terrible at broadcasting baseball. Showing (mostly unneccesary) interviews while the game's being played and just the overall dullness of it all. What really irritated me was how they didn't even mention Hunter Pence (or even any Giants whatsoever) during his short at-bat. As a result, I completely missed what I was waiting pretty much the whole game for. Ugh.And this one's not a rant, but MLB should've done some kind of tribute to Tony Gwynn tonight. Nothing against Jeter, though. BEHANCE | PORTFOLIO
Ateles fusciceps
I talked to Madison Bumgarner today and asked him why he gave up his spot on the All-Star roster. He said that he was ineligible to play today since he pitched Sunday and would rather go fishing than sit in a dugout.

Ugh.You just found out about this now?Anyway, coverage of Major League Baseball has been shady over the last quarter-century, from the "Covering Baseball Sporadically" era to the ill-fated "Baseball Network," and to the current abominations of FOX and TBS.The people at FOX Sports treat their NFL coverage with all their might and potential, while treating their MLB coverage like the despondent, red-headed, freckle-faced stepchild. I thought the problem behind the mic would go away with Tim McCarver retiring, but it appears that Tom Verducci is delivering the dumbed-down summarizations of plays, while Harold Reynolds is slowly being the Magic Johnson of baseball broadcasting. Ugh.
